Every year people come up with these optimistic delusions that we have a whole bunch of amazing silent commits, but it never pans out. We may be in a good standing with many of these players (except Reuben Randle), but that's the end of the story IMO.
This is a good post, and I think you are correct. The kids who are uncommitted at this point, by and large, have planned on having a public announcement on NSD, so they aren't going to go public a week before then after waiting this long. However, that doesn't prevent them from hinting privately to coaches.
Rod Wilks is so fast you'd be dead before you hit "Post Reply."Short Answer: When Rod Wilks was being recruited, there was a poster on the board that was very very high on him being the next big star at UT. Other posters started using the "Chuck Norris" jokes with Rod Wilks in place and a running joke was born...
Note: I am not calling Rod Wilks himself a running joke. If I did do that, I would expect to be dead by the end of the hour...
I don't know what to say about all this at this point other than I am extremely disturbed that Oku, Stokes, and Thigpen are all waivering. It just seems like the trend every year is getting worse. When a player gives a verbal commit it really doesn't mean a damn thing anymore. Fewer and fewer players show integrity and loyalty to teams anymore. I hate how football is becoming more of a business than the love for the game now.
I believe all the silents are...
Eddie Lacy
Marsalis Teague
Alshon Jeffery
Pearlie Graves
Greg King
and im getting a feeling Reuben Randle is a silent
