This season has been good but I can't stand the lady they have replacing Peter. Every scene with her has been a train wreck.

the sexual harassment policy part and the new hire asking if she could call her friend by her nickname (c*nty) was awesome.

That was one of the best bits of this season. Truly enjoyed the awkwardness of it to everyone except gilfoyle just casually "she has a female friend she calls ****y, what's hard to figure out here?"

I don't think it's been bad when you look at what they're doing with her in comparison to Peter. They can't just throw in another smart person, so they put in another savant, only one on a totally different type of the spectrum. I see it more as a satire of geniuses having social and mental problems than I do anything else.

It's obvious what they are trying to do, but she can't pull it off. She's terrible. She's not funny. And it's just embarrassing to watch.

They don't need her. They can write that company out of the story, or they can keep it with a solution that doesn't involve her. The sky is the limit when you write fiction.

Peter's character was extremely unique. If I tried to describe him to someone their reaction would be, "That would be hard to pull off. Maybe impossible." It's just a tall order to make that character work, and to attempt to recreate it in the same show is absurd, IMO. They should have never tried.

Season 1 Episode 6

lol @ TJ Miller slapping that kid upside the head and chucking his bike in the bushes over adderal. That kid is from that movie with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anniston where they go on vacation together I think.

Watched the first two episodes of S2 the other night. Definitely picked up where S1 left off.

Season 2 Episode 3

Really good episode. Pied Piper brought in the nut sack to fund them and Hooli is gonna use their former member against them. Sucks the seasons are both short and the episodes are only 30 minutes. Should be hour episodes or longer seasons.

Again, I'm really disappointed by how short the seasons/episodes are.

I really enjoy this show but I'm already up to season 2 episode 6(trying to save it) and I maybe started a week ago? Normally when you're just starting a show out and you decide to watch 4 hours consecutively, you're still a ways away from season 2, not starting it. I'm not saying I watched 4 hours straight but if you watch for 2hrs, you've already watched half a season. A season of Silicon Valley is closer to the length of a long movie than it is a tv series.

That's my only complaint with the show. And honestly, it's not the greatest show by any means but it's hard to find a good show where you can just shut your brain off completely. Despite the seriousness and stress of starting an up and coming business, there is nothing stressful about this show from a viewers perspective. I'll leave that stress for poor ol' Richard, while I enjoy watching his crew get into all of their little tiffs and Richard makes bad deal after bad deal. I have to believe it will all work itself out in the end. If not, oh well. They could have gotten in on Gilfoyle's app if Pied Piper were to eat lead but it's too late now. And then there's Denish(Pindar), if only he had kept his hands off Gilfoyle's damn servers. People are always creating new problems for Richard, including Richard. The Mr. Bill effect.

Par for the course with HBO.

Just caught up with that episode. When Blain came in to apologize and they had the SWOT on the board I was dying. Of course I chuckled pretty hard when Jerod pulled the hidden SWOT board out.

Just watched the season 2 "finale". Amazing, was probably my favorite episode of the series. Classic.

The icing on the cake, that wasn't the season finale. I guess this season is 10 episodes instead of 8 like season. Glad they extended the series even if it is only by 2 episodes/about 50 minutes of actual run time.

Has it been said if there is a set amount of episodes/seasons for this show? Seems like if they ever establish their business, there wouldn't be much left to the original concept. Unless they go The Office route and show them working within the company and competing against others even after they've established the company. The show has been built around Richard's failures and struggle to make the company viable. If Richard continues to "struggle" once he's successful(rich), then he's basically just another version of his current boss who he despises. Of all the problems Richard has, money is always his biggest concern. Both for funding of his company and for himself as he aspires to be rich. His problems seem like they'd all go away if he just had some money.

My bet, they'll get the deal they're looking for and something ruins it leaving to find another option. Or, the manufacturer produces a faulty product which sets them way back. Or, after forming a successful company, a competitor/client/customer sues them over something and wins in court which destroys the company. Anything to keep Richard down and keep the show going. I'll settle for an office work environment though where Richard faces fewer struggles as long as it means keeping this show/cast on the air. I've seen Freaks and Geeks(Gilfoyle), The Office(Jared) and Franklin & Bash(Dinesh) from start to finish so I tend to like this cast.

They also have TJ Miller who is from a bunch of shows/movies and does stand up. And the Monica chick, though her role adds nothing to the show, she was from the movie Sex Drive which was hilarious. Then of course, there's Mike Judd who writes it. Beavis and Butt Head. King of the Hill. Office Space. That's good stuff as far as casting and creator.

2 more episodes...

‘Veep’ & ‘Silicon Valley’ Renewed By HBO | Deadline

We havenÂ’t seen the ratings for last nightÂ’s season premieres of HBO comedy series Veep and Silicon Valley yet, but HBO has just renewed both comedies for a fifth season and third season, respectively.

Silicon Valley, a collaboration between Mike Judge and Alec Berg, takes a comic look at the modern-day epicenter of the high-tech gold rush, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. Cast regulars for the second season include Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Josh Brener, Martin Starr, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, Suzanne Cryer and Jimmy O. Yang.

So that's good news.

Crazy season finale. Richard just can't catch a break. It was great seeing Gavin Belson get his though. It'll be hilarious if Bighead ends up being promoted to Belson's spot.

It wasn't the best episode of the season but still pretty funny. I thought Richard should have explained to group they won because of Jerod. As much grief as they all give him, his presence saved the day.

Last season ended on a high note where as this one definitely left a cliff hanger. Maybe they weren't sure there would be a S2 but know S3 is right around the corner.

Good point with the Jared thing. Especially after revealing how much he turned down from hooli to work at Pied Piper.

Just finished season 2. My wife was lagging and she finally cut me loose to watch on my own. I thought it was great.

The problem with this show is when they succeed, it's basically over. Maybe they can squeeze one good season in after they actually get rich. So if they plan on being a 5 season show, **** keeps having to happen for nearly 2 more seasons.

How could they allow themselves to get in a minority position? So dumb. But I want a season 3, so I'll take it.

The dumbest thing I had a hard time getting past was the porn file deletion. While the scenario was funny, I can't imagine that billion dollar company didn't have their library backed up.

It was a great episode and I like where it went. I still hate the boss lady, but this is a good move for Richard. He doesn't know how to be CEO. He's now free to be the best developer he can be.

Liked the Run the Jewels outright again.
