And here I thought they learned their lesson about hiring coaches from the state of Tennessee...

The only schools that might be able to tempt Jones might be Michigan or Michigan State.

This is interesting right here. I've wondered since the Saugatuck resident interview came out about whether he rooted for Michigan or State as a kid growing up there. I'm kind of surprised none of the Wes Rucker-types have asked him about it yet.

Going from Tennessee to State would be a downgrade or a lateral move at best, but Michigan... well, I shouldn't have to tell anyone what Michigan's historical record looks like.

Butch isn't going anywhere he wanted the job. And he also has one of the best classes coming in so I thinks he's comfortable

This is a silly post and please do not bash based on logic ..its just offseason chatter..

Last time around USC was looking for coach, we were happy to have Lane effin Kiffin ..He had almost beaten BAMA ..did crush Georgia and had recruited some big names and BAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG USC came and took that son of a gun from us ..
Although not likely just gives me a little chills thinking what will happen if that happens again ..Butch gone , #2 recruiting class in disarray and we in market for new coach AGAIN ..Man that would be some **** !!

Kids... Don't do meth!

they want a proven winner at USC. Somebody like James Franklin (who is the leading candidate).

you have NOTHING to worry about. Maybe an assistant would go, but they need to go anyway. :)

On ESPN trailer this morning writer Schad says USC will choose between Chris Petersen & James Franklin. Fellow Vol fans, imagine the irony if Franklin would succeed Kiffin?

If anything Tee Martin comes back to UT and not as a WR coach but a real QB coach

We certainly could us that kind of experience.

I think a dedicated QB coach could solve more of the issues we saw this year more than anything.

Yeah cause he and the best staff in America are highly coveted by most major programs in college football... Lol!
Believe me dude we have no worries about people wanting our coach(es). Cincinnati wouldn't even trade with us, looks like they may have gotten an upgrade out of the deal sitting at 9-2...

Do you have an argument for him being a proven coach? Bc I can strike it down with one word..3 syllables.

Fire away troll. We all read your negative garbage posts. Honor us with your genius. Lets hear that one magical word you got .....

Bet Tee wishes he took that Ut Coaching job now...assuming the new head coach brings in his own crew, I wonder where the guy ends up.

I faintly recall a lot of folks expressing fear that Georgia would hire Dooley out from under us. Oh if that had only come to fruition.
