I wasn't trying to add anything to your post. I think you misunderstood my intent.

The OP threw out a completely off-the-wall scenario about Butch going to USC, or pulling a "Kiffin". You said that we should only worry if Kelly leaves Notre Dame. Then, I said, if USC hired Kelly, they would basically STILL be pulling a "Kiffin" on us, even if it was indirect.

No butthurt here.

EDIT: I see you edited your post. I was not being serious either. I do enjoy the back-and-forth though. It's not personal, and I don't take anything personal either.

This seems crazy, but crazy can happen; UT and USC both hired him with an average resume. Not to mention the Dooley hire. Now that's crazy.

I don’t know, the way I see it he did well under Carroll and horrible calling his own plays at USC as HC. I'd say Carroll was the reason he did well as OC. I have also seen where it was said numerous times when he was hired by the Raiders that the only thing he had done was "acting" OC for Carroll who was actually the true play caller….regardless, I wish Kiffin the worst, professionally anyway…LOL

USC is too smart to make the same mistake twice.. by hiring a bad coach grom UT
