Simeon Castille arrested

"He was arrested early [Sunday] morning and released just after 4 A.M.," said Tuscaloosa County Jail officer S. Spencer.

On a Saturday night/Sunday morning... probably at a club fighting or doing his best David Palmer impersonation.

Only two options I can think of...

the problem is that down here, all we hear about is how great his father and how great he and family are for the community. All we hear is Jeremiah, Tim, and Simeon Castille are the first family of Alabama football. Charity this, community that.

Way to go men :clapping: Really turning around the program. Now watch, the arresting officer was probably a larger man named Phil. It is always somehow his fault anything negative happens in Bammer Town.

Castille is the fourth UA football player to be arrested in five weeks. Brandon Deaderick (criminal mischief, resisting arrest and giving a false name to officers), Brandon Fanney (disorderly conduct) and Roy Upchurch (disorderly conduct) were arrested on July 14. :ermm:

If that had been UT players, ESPN would have already put together an Outside the Lines show and plastered the headlines all over their website.

James Banks and Onterrio Smith might beg to differ.

After about 1,256 chances, Phillip finally sent them packing. I hardly call that discipline. Onterrio was rumored to fail 5 or 6 drug tests before Fulmer eventually booted him from the team. Hopefully I won't have to mention James' numerous off-field incidents. I'm pretty sure a vast amount of the fan base remembers his abysmal conduct quite well.

It's always funny to me whenever somebody starts a thread like this pointing out things happening at other schools that someone always takes it upon themselves to offer up a "We suck as much as they do" post.

We all get it. The stuff happens everywhere. We don't need a lecture every time somebody brings up a situation at a rival school about the history of Tennessee criminal offenses.

True.Smith and Banks, basically All Americans, had to take the high road.I'd say coach Fulmer doesn't hesitate to enforce when needed.

Exactly. And it's not exactly an easy decision when one or more of your best players gets in trouble. You keep them, you get blamed for going to easy on them. You kick them off, then you might lose some more games. There's a price for recruiting 5 star players because most of them have major ego issues, and therefore they can be careless.
