Simeon Castille arrested

It's always funny to me whenever somebody starts a thread like this pointing out things happening at other schools that someone always takes it upon themselves to offer up a "We suck as much as they do" post.

We all get it. The stuff happens everywhere. We don't need a lecture every time somebody brings up a situation at a rival school about the history of Tennessee criminal offenses.
Some peopole seem to think we need to be lectured to like a bunch of kids though. Why, I HAVE NO EARTHLY IDEA,NONE!

Nowhere near as funny as I find the hypocrisy in posting something about minor off field offenses by our opponents.

Exactly. And it's not exactly an easy decision when one or more of your best players gets in trouble. You keep them, you get blamed for going to easy on them. You kick them off, then you might lose some more games. There's a price for recruiting 5 star players because most of them have major ego issues, and therefore they can be careless.
Especially losing these two. The implications UT had over the course of their playing time at UT, over the whole team, was felt tremendously. To think Smith now plays in the NFL,.

Arian Foster is a good kid. Kicking him out of school would've been uncalled for.
I agree 100%. I'm also quite sure that Castille is also a fine young man who made a minor error in judgment, if that. It was asinine for any of our rivals to make a comment about Foster's situation. Further, if we all agree on that, it makes us just as bad as Alabama fans to comment on their off field foibles.

Which is why I never said anything about Castille.

The Rocky Top Market on Cumberland could very easily get one of our guys in some hot water. Let's not gloat too much (or at all).

If you read Bama's board you would realize that it is the cops fault for arresting that innocent child.

Let's not forget Lynn McGruger(?sp.), who was busted by Fulmer and two years later was starting for Bob Stoops' Sooners!:banghead2:
McGruder was never a full time starter at OU. He was a serviceable rotation player, and that's being kind.

We have some rogue Auburn fan cops on the Tuscaloosa Police Dept. All they do is follow our players around and wait for one of them to spit on the sidewalk. Nick is going to have a little talk with TPD and straighten them out!

After about 1,256 chances, Phillip finally sent them packing. I hardly call that discipline. Onterrio was rumored to fail 5 or 6 drug tests before Fulmer eventually booted him from the team. Hopefully I won't have to mention James' numerous off-field incidents. I'm pretty sure a vast amount of the fan base remembers his abysmal conduct quite well.

YOu hit the nail on the head:RUMORED. I don't believe he failed 5 or 6 tests. In fact, I know he didn't. And again, getting arrested and failing drug tests are two DIFFERENT things.

Just like Phillip has during his tenure at Tennessee. Also, I think it's a bit unfair to judge Nick after one offseason in Tuskaloosa.

I hardly think Phil has a rep as a strict, tough disciplinarian...Saban on the other hand seems to pride himself on his tough guy image

I know you're joking, but just because someone's a police officer doesnt mean they're without sin.....I was beaten black and blue by a couple of cops one time for nothing.

Yes he is. That is why SC and the other players who were arrested are all being handled internally. :eek:k:

The love afair some have with any coach not wearing ORANGE is amazing.

This is great! The list of those out to get bammer is growing. Now not only are UT, SEC, NCAA, FBI, Courts, CIA, US Marshalls, ESPN, CBS, ABC, SI, NBC out to get bammer. Now the local police in looserville is out to get them as well.

I bet there are more black helicopter sightings around tuscalooser than anywhere in the world.

A new slogan for Tuscalooser should be.
"Tuscaloosa, the NEW area 51"

It's not our fault that everyone else is jealous of our 100 years of DOMINATION.
