I bet not one team trying to reach the 12 team playoffs hasn't had halves with zero points. That's embarrassing and unacceptable. Even if we squeak in it will probably be a tough get to advance since we will be playing on the road. Defense plays well until they give the QB an eternity till a receiver comes open.

A 3 loss Ole Miss definitely will not get in over a 2 loss Tennessee so for next weekend you guys are looking at the biggest Florida fan on the planet. Chomp chomp. Less likely but the egg bowl gets crazy sometimes so if Florida loses I am buying cow bells. Of course, there is no guarantee Tennessee beats Vandy in Nashville this year which would put us firmly in the Orange bowl.

Must win out then Ole Miss loses to Florida or USC beats Notre Dame or Army beats Notre Dame or Miami winning the ACC. If Texas A&M beats Texas, Texas might fall below us if we hammer Vandy.

Texas would have a very difficult time getting in if they lose to A&M...would be tough to make an argument for Texas ahead of us, for example

I'd just about put a wager on UGA, Tennessee, Bama, Ole Miss, all those teams won't finish 10-2. Somebody going to lose a game here that they shouldn't. Been too much parity and too many close games for it to just play out nicely..

The Irish could go 0-2. Big fan of what Indiana has done but an absolute stomping from tosu would help but honestly, Bama losing to OU at night in Norman or Lane losing at the Swamp would make me feel better. Being the last SEC team would make me nervous

This appears to be our best shot. Maybe even need one more team to lose. Right now I think it's between us and Ole Miss for the fourth SEC spot.

I dont know how the SECG will play out with who makes it. But you can bet your bottom dollar Bama or Uga makes it and loses, they will still get in with 3 loses over us.

What is the point of a post like this? I know you relish your role as the resident curmudgeon, but to post something like this raises the question of why you would even bother following this stuff or ... gasp ... being a fan.

Aside from not having GA's bounty of talent and playing them at home, the drive killing and drive-enabling penalties on both sides of the ball took TN out of contention.

Not disagreeing with your disagreement, but at least 3-4 drives were killed by UT penalties. Penalties that weren't controversial. Those slammed the door on TN's puncher's chance.

We will. All we have to do is beat Vandy course … could be easier said then done , think ole miss is going get left out …. Their schedule strength is very much in question .seeing a lot of projections having us a 11 seed playing Penn state … with winner going to Miami next round . I take that
