Since recruits read this site

those other schools should have a better shot than meyer if a recruit is to base a coach soley on the basis of a coach's history of getting QB's to a successful NFL career.

Any recruit basing his college decision SOLELY on that wouldn't go to Florida to play QB, and at the end of the day that really hasn't hurt UF's recruiting or success on the field.

It just feels good for rivals to say....oops....I mean, YEAH RECRUITS....if you're only going to college to eventually play pro football, go somewhere other than Florida. Clearly you have what it takes to be an NFL QB, and there's no chance you'll face competition at your position, suffer an injury to where you'll need a fall back plan for football....stuff like that never happens.

The only thing you 2011 recruits need to factor in is how many NFL QBs Urban Meyer has in the pros, then make your decision on that and ONLY that.

why else? trophies don't pay.

Clearly, which is why the recruits reading all this should only consider Meyer's track record with Super Bowl winning QBs, then go to Fresno State and win a Super Bowl just like Trent Dilfer.

Florida has absolutely nothing to offer these kids.

I agree with you 100%.

But who in their right mind would want to play at a school where they can't recruit kids to eventually play QB in the Super Bowl, or worst case, simply be a starting QB in the NFL?

I bet Florida's program will pay the price for this obvious limitation for at least two decades.

i know i wouldn't go.
college is essentially a minor league system for the NFL. So if one's goal is to play in the NFL then why go to UF?

Yeah, those crystal footballs get boring to look at after a while. They break easily as well.

i was talking with a friend of mine about this: how creepy is it that Tebow performed circumcisions on young boys in the third world? What the hell kind of mission was he on, and how in the hell is he qualified to do that?

yeah it's been quiet. maybe he gave up?

I conceded Meyer is a horrible coach on Page 1.

Who in their right mind would want to play for him?

I mean, EVERY recruit has the opportunity to go to the NFL right?

Recruits....you too can make the NFL if you go somewhere other than Florida.
