Thanks for the heads up DJ. :good!: Didnt know it was this weekend. Don't let anyone ever tell you that you don't ever bring an occasional good piece of info to the discussion :hi:

Oh, believe you me.... I wouldn't care if they did

Peyton has got to be looking at more than just money....hell he probably makes more $$ in endorsements than he does playing.

Agreed...but he has the money and is under the cap well enough to bring in a few key pieces of the puzzle. But I totally get what you're saying.

Haven said that, there are so many possibilities, its gonna be interesting how it all goes down.

Mike Terrico makes a great point-"I don't see NYJ or Washinton Skins to really be contenders for PM because the Manning family had never been ccomfortable with Peyton and Eli competing on the same turf."

I want to add the Cardinals to the list of teams I could easily back if PM ends up there. My moms favorite team. She doesn't know any NFL team names other than the Giants, cowboys, and her favorite The Birdies (as she calls them).

Personally, and obviously, I'd WANT to see him a TITAN. BUT, more than likely that wont happen. The Titans seem to be okay with being mediocre and that's why it's been hard to stand by them. They are never willing to spend money to win. NEVER..

The way they handled CJ's contract situation last year was bogus. Kept him out of basically every preseason game after the lockout, told him they wouldn't pay him what he wanted.. and then BAM, at the last second he gets exactly what he wants.

Peyton isn't that worried about getting paid. You all MUST understand that. At this point, he wants to go to a team set up to WIN. Obviously he'll be looking for a team that can fit HIS offense, and a team with weapons and a DEFENSE. That being said, I think he either goes JETS or TEXANS. Since I HATE/DESPISE/LOATHE Rex Ryan, I hope he choses the Texans. Another reason is I'd LOVE to see another team from Texas win over the Cowgirls. Jerry Jones would have nightmares.

I'll root for him wherever he goes. He's a VFL, a wonderful person, and such an incredible offensive talent. GO PEYTON!

This has to be extremely hard on Jim Irsay. Obviously it's a tough situation, and in my personal opinion it is the right move. Even Peyton believes in starting on day 1 of the job. Here we go Peyton..

Man how can you watch this and not get emotional. Peyton is first class, no doubt about it. I'm honored to have been given the luxury of being able to watch him perform on so many levels. There will never be another like him. Period.

I agree. Either way u go it's a tough call. Pretty much a coin toss.

Just really wish he'd say Go Vols! at the end.

I think its pretty exciting to think about watching Manning on offense score a touch down pass, and then Berry on defense get an pick 6 on the flip side. Heres to hoping for KC.

Seattle isn't built well enough to make a serious dent in the playoffs.

Vikings...no way.

'Zona would be interesting....and as far as a destination, I'd put it near the top.

Miami makes a LOT of sense. They could add both Reggie Wayne and Peyton and "get the band back together," so to speak but...like Seattle, I don't think they're built for immediate success.

I think the team that makes the most sense is KC. Jamal Charles & Dwayne Bowe would be equally as deadly as PM and Addai & Harrison/Wayne. Plus, they have a young, up-and-coming D.

If KC were to add Manning, I think they're built immediately for a major playoff run.

JMO, but I would think that Manning's highest priority is getting another SB ring.

Regardless of where he goes, all these so called Colt fans will be running out and buying a new tag and decals for their car.

Gut feeling or have you heard something?
Posted via VolNation Mobile

just gut. if I was 36, had his money, a wife and 2 kids along with metal in my neck, I would hang it up. I much holder but I was competitive when younger and I know Peyton is very competitive. But unless doctors gave 100% clearence and assurances there was no risk of permanant damage on a hit, then I would say no.

My gut says Peyton will make the decision based on the risks given him and not based on his competitiveness. I just see little way mediaclly he can be given teh assurances against further problems.

He will go where there's a really good O-line and solid running game so he doesn't get hit much. If that's not available, he'll retire.

Miami is rumored to guarantee they will pick up Jeff Saturday if Manning will come there, move Pouncey to RG. They already have Long at LT so their line should be pretty good if they add Saturday. Also Reggie Wayne has said he would go there as well. They have weapons on offense. Could work.
