My favorite Daniel Tosh quote ever:
"Dave Matthews Band sucks. If that upsets anybody in here, you're the problem in our country; because somebody had a difference of an opinion than you, you felt personally attacked instead of focusing on a bigger issue: why do you listen to ****ty music?"

Put on some Dylan, Neil Young, and Simon and Garfunkel and I am set for the night.

Johnny Cash. I love the songs he's covered, too. Sunday Morning Coming Down, It Aint' Me Babe, and Hurt are three of my favorite songs he did.

And yes, I am including Dylan.

Todd Snider is another good one. He has a station on my Pandora thats played very frequently. Playing right now actually.

I'm not sure if i"m following here. Wouldn't all bands/artists that write their own music fall into the category of singer/songwriter? So if we take basically all new country music (e.g. Chesney, etc.) out of the equation and also take out various pop stars (e.g. Spears, etc.) that don't write their own stuff, then the rest of the music universe falls under the singer/songwriter category...am I off here.
