Small towns, small minds, The lines that divide us

People who are going to look down and judge other people do it to build themselves up. And they'll use whatever excuse is handy (small town/big city, male/female, book-worm/uneducated, etc.)
I take this to mean that there aren't reasons to look down on people?

retards are generally very happy. :lolabove:

just kidding. all i know is that i can only think of one friend i know who moved to the big city and moved back at some point to a small town. there must be some reason why people like the big cities better?

Actually there are quite a few people from northern cities (and other large cities) moving to south and smaller towns in general. Even those that work in large cities often times live in smaller communities outside of the city. There are actually many benefits, lower crime rates/safer neighborhoods, lower/not as many taxes, just to name a few.

I really prefer the mid-sized city (kinda like Knoxville). Too easy to get lost in the huge ones and the small ones are too restrictive. The area I'm in just about right too.

Hang in there and keep your chin up....with a lot of determination and a little bit of luck, you'll eventually get those shoes tied.

I think they take the laces out when your admitted into the facilities in which he resides.

I have grown up in a small city, but I want to move to a big city. Big cities are where the big boys are at, in my opinion.

I don't like big cities, but I am still planning on launching my career in one. It's stupid not to. I can always move back to a smaller city like Knoxville later, but the opportunities for success are always going to be in the larger cities.

already done that and made my mark. It was a perfect place to start my career and allowed me to get back to where I felt more comfortable. There's very little I can find in that big city that I can't accomplish right here.

I assume the place you are comfortable at is Newport News. What big city did you make your mark in? Richmond? Charlotte? D.C.?

I have lived and stayed in quite a few large cities Chicago, Phoenix, Atlanta. I hate traffic, crowds of people (unless they are fellow vol fans), and these are just a couple of examples of the things I dislike about larger cities. Hell I purposefully live a 40 minute drive outside Nashville and it can't even be called a large city. I would much rather live where everything is much more peaceful and quiet, but that is just me. To each their own as they say.

I spent 5 years in St. Louis. It's just about the right size, but I prefer a little smaller.

i bet you like big boys, you like that dominated feeling eh?:dance2:

Sounds like you may have had your own "big boy" experiences there joe. Don't worry, you don't have to put on a front here, we won't judge you.
