Here is the thing guys. Tid you and the Mrs., along with Bham do not like Stewart. So it would not matter what tony did to celebrate, you guys are gonna have a problem with it because you do not like him, and he is celebrating. You either like him or you hate him. You guys find something to bash if he laps the whole field. You guys bash him if he crashes. The same is true for me and hasn't-earned-anything-hardt. But if the guy took down his suit and pooped in his hand and threw it in the stands people would kill each other trying to get it. They are rabid.

We love our teams, and we all have our reasons for it. The reason i like Tony may be the reason one of you hate him. We on here all love the Vols, and hate bammer and anything they do we will find a way to put them down for it.
This is the same thing. If you are passionate about your favorites, then NOONE else can be as good as yours.

Tony has never said he invented the fence climbing celebration. He probably saw it first hand, remember he was the IRL champion. That is just his way of getting close to the fans. Why aren't you guys calling out the every other driver every other week when they do something un-original like a burnout or do-nuts or spraying coke on their crew, I mean really someone else has already done it!! And apparently it is against the rules to celebrate unless you have it Trademarked!

Where have I bashed Stewart or his choice of victory celebration? I merely said he wasn't the first to do it. Then you actually called Earnhardt fans sensitive... :lol:

I only said that since you claimed he started the fence-climbing, and I'd do the same if a fan of some other driver claimed that they were the first to do a victory burnout or donut.

I don't care one way or the other for Stewart, in all honesty. I'm no where near the biggest Stewart basher on here... he's said and done things that crack me up and he's done things that make me shake my head and wonder what he was thinking.

Other than that and the unnecessary shot at Jr. and the lumping of all of his fans into one group, I completely agree with everything you said.

Wow! You've read a lot into my few (maybe a total of 4 posts in the history of this forum) about Tony Stewart! :ermm:

I don't particularly care for him mainly because of his antics. He personally makes a big deal about his celebration tactic whenever asked (I've heard his sarcastic comments to the media on more than one occassion). That is why I made comments about the fence climbing. If another driver made similar comments about his burnouts then I'd feel the same way.

I will say TS is at the top of NASCAR in talent and one of the best racers in the series.

I don't dislike Stewart... he's my mom's favorite driver, and therefore, I tolerate him pretty well. He does crack me up sometimes... but the whining gets old, and the fence climbing is old. I can't help it if things grate on my nerves.... Stewart isn't special or anything, 95% of what most people do annoys the living hell out of me... that's just how I am. Now if you wanna talk about me disliking someone, we can talk Martin Truex Jr.... but I do not dislike Stewart.

Dale Jr is my favorite driver, and he has grated on my nerves before.. and will again. By the way, Junior has earned his place in this sport.. it's people like you who just bash for no damn reason that need to get a grip. The folks who love to bash Junior just because he's Junior, are freakin' unoriginal and need some new material FAST.

The more I saw him trying to be a Dale Jr clone, the more I disliked him. I can't stand unoriginal people.

Fair enough. The people I chose to call out, I give you props for stating your side. Mrs Tid I grew up in the shadows of Talladega, and got to spend some time getting real close to the Allison family, and a very good mutual friend of the Earnhardt family. I am in no means trying to name drop, I am trying to say that for about four or five years I was around these guys on a very regular basis. I have hung out with Tony and have shot pool and drank beers with Jr., Steve Park, and Mikey while they were in town testing. I have seen the side most people don't get to see that are fans, that is their personal private side. That is why I don't care for Jr. I have my reasons and a lot of them come from that night. Working Dirt races has let me meet and hang out with a lot of the guys. That is where I decide if I like them or not. We can agree to disagree, it just gets on my nerves for someone to gripe and bash one person but their guy does the same things. Not saying the three of you did that, I have no prob with any of you. I just hear it all day from inbred bammers that hate Tony because they are JR. fans. No other reason...just that. I proll flew off the handle at you guys, when it is them that I was po'd at. :peace2: :mf_surrender:
