Snowboarding/Skiing/Trips/and all things snowsports thread

My best two sessions were at Silver creek one afternoon and first thing in the morning on Monday. I hate standing in lines, though!

Just came off powered ridge and hooter ball. Got in a few runs before the crowd kicked in. We just came in for some food. The guy I'm with owns a place and he says he heads to Silver Creek when the lines get long here. I think we're heading over there after lunch.

Go west young man. Just stay away from vail and any front range big name on the weekend or holiday. Average wait time for me a taos maybe 1 min

Hey bigdaddy, I think you're the one I got those skis from last year. I wore them out this weekend at Snowshoe.

Glad you got some use out of them. I need to contact you about a boat but I lost your info. I'll get your email from the admin if that's ok

Just got back from utah. Crazy weather, it was 65 everyday in the city and the mountain was around 45. Beautiful blue skies and the snow was nice at alta and the bird. Great skiing just a little warm

I can't believe you haven't posted any pictures.

Sounds like spring conditions, short sleeves and women in bikini tops.

My friend is currently staying at the Marlboro Ranch. He is there for snowboarding, cross country skiing, etc.

Considering a last-minute trip to Carolina. Think 40 will be okay through the mountains today and tomorrow? Conditions at Beech look about as good as they can get.

Went to Cataloochi last night. Conditions were ok but not great. That was my first trip over there and I didn't care for it much.

And... 40 was fine through the mountains.

The kids and I boarded in Dickson Tennessee all week long. We had the boards out on our hills. Not good by any means but we had fun.

better have 4wheel drive. they will have signs out warning about bad conditions once you start climbing back up the mountain, closer to the resorts.

We got stranded up on Beech Mtn last year when they got 8" during the day. Got the last room at Jackalope Lodge that night. We were very lucky. Had great skiing the next day though. we now have a 4wheel drive vechile that we take everywhere.

Made it to Banner Elk fine. Beech had a deep base but slick as a greased garage. The boys and I still had fun. Hitting Sugar in the a.m.

Jeep with Willys package... All good :)

Headed up to Beech Mtn, supposedly has 10 inches of fresh powder. Bringing my friends apple and pie if anyone wants to join us.

Beech was cold, windy, with rain and sleet last night. Icy in places.

Sugar was warm and getting slushy today, but good boarding for the time being. There was hardly anyone there.
