You want to see "businesses paying their fair share", check out what Oregon is trying to do with a gross receipts tax.

They want to charge grocery stores a 3% gross receipts tax at every step in supply chain (producer, distributor, retail sale) and they don't think that an industry that makes 2% margins wont pass it on...

You can cut state sales tax from 7% to 6.95% and try to pass an Oregon style gross receipts tax and technically keep your promises to Slice....

Thing about it is, progressives in Tennessee have to be mild about their progressive ideology to have any chance of winning. So you have to think her views are even further left of what's she's putting out there. It's politics. I get it. I love Slice like you love a big man's butt. I realize he's met the lady and he has more info than I do but I would never consider voting for her because of her stances on issues that are on HER website.

Faulty premise, imo, sir. If I am running, I don't concern myself with what the spinners want, recommend, or put on my website. If it is my website, it accurately communicated my vision, principles, and issues.

No, I was just making an example of a tax she could lower and a new one she can create. She can propose cutting one tax and drastically raise another and still be truthful to what she told you. She implied as much on her website (business pay fair share = tax increase)

There are some things going on in this district that are problematic. We have a habit of electing Republicans that use the city and state for their personal gains and pet projects. Don’t forget we gave the county Bob “the builder” Corker. We still haven’t recovered from the damage he did

I understand that but that wasn't your question. She's open on her website about her policies. The three I listed are non starters for me.
