Her mind is a lot more "right" than most people know/think.

People got a bad impression because of the stance on the bench during games. Because anger and stress make symptoms worse, she had to take medication before games to neutralize the effect. Additionally, only one coach is permitted to stand, and Holly was designated to do that. Media and observers that saw practices saw a much different Summitt than what was on TV.

Yep, they had it. DP do you think Jenning's e-mail to Hart on March 16th at around 1:00 AM saying that Pat told her about her meeting with Hart and that she'd not be coach the next season is the reason for the line in Summitt's affidavit "which was notarized on Aug. 10, that she didn't tell these people of speaking again with Hart subsequent to March 14 and Hart indicating that Summitt "misinterpreted what he said."

Do you think there is a correlation between Jenning's e-mail and the meeting where Hart says Summitt misinterpreted what Hart said?

There seems to be a thought out there that any person in a CEO type position needs to be heartless and cuthroat to be successful.

He should have waited until the season was over. It's not "his bad" like some of you are making it out to be. He more or less forced out a legend. A legend that has been suffering with a terrible disease for the last year. A legend that has laid it down for UT her entire life. And it's his bad? He should have handled it differently? As an alumnus, it down right offends me.

Pat's family and friends were surprised and dismayed that she ATTEMPTED to Coach last year. She didnt need to be there last year!!

She has been told NOT to drive her car. She still is.
Based on your logic, you would say good for her, you cant tell her what to do. What happens(God Forbid) she wrecks......
As many others have said, Coach is NOT making the best decisions for her self. Sometimes someone has to do whats best for her!!!!

he could have handled it with a little more tact...
there was nothing for him to gain, by telling her prior to the tournament she wouldn't be coaching the team next year..
it's not like he was firing her on the spot

Is only one coach permitted to talk to the team during timeouts? Is only one coach permitted to speak with the media after games? Summitt disappeared this year. Moving her into a special "emeritus" role and letting her handpicked successor take over was exactly the right way to handle it.

We need to hear from Joan Cronan.
