I can't believe they fired DD without having something worked out. And worse that we can't get anyone worth a damn. Are the fans the problem or the school? Our schedule would put winners in the championship.

UT is being turned down by coaches from major universites so that Hart has to hire an expensive coach from a mid-level school. Where have I seen this scenario before?

Dooley needed to go, but we had most of the year to figure it out. And yet not only did we not have someone in the bag, we're being turned down a couple of weeks after the season's been over. This is more than pathetic.

It would almost be worth the pain to see the meltdown if we were to go after the current La Tech coach lol

No the knee jerk reaction our AD made when he fired Fulmer is to blame.

everyone is laughing while asking us if we miss Fulmer yet. Saying how spoiled we got. How we ran off a HOF coach and humiliated him in front of the world.

and last but not least. How most fans still think it was the right thing to do.

Hope everyone that say's we are better off is happy. This is so much fun

The SI article that said Strong was staying said that Cheek had made the only UT contact with Strong. Where's Dave Hart??????????

Yeah because they have been out in public making fools of themselves. They've been creating ridiculous internet drama. I am sure they didn't even show up for the UK game, huh?

Oh wait... maybe that was the same kind of fans that are now calling for them to be fired.

Both may deserve to be fired... but there's nothing going on through this coach search that suggests UT's fans deserve anything better right now. The reactions and overreations have been pathetic.

No one Dave Hart has offered has wanted the job. That would be more accurate.

Ummm, no. DD took the job when no one wanted it. He improved the roster and program generally. It turns out he couldn't coach on game day.... but he left the program and especially the roster much better than he found it.

Why would DD be the reason? What can he do to a new coach? Only the Admin, boosters, and fans can hurt the new coach.

Petrino needs a job. At least he has been a head coach. SEC experience and can win. After a few seasons of winning kids will want to come to UT and recruiting won't be that much of a problem. May have a tough time at first and will need to recruit quite a bit of juco players but he will pull it off. He needs another chance and so does UT
