So now that Bray is ours... Whos next?

PLEASE>>>>> He is a USC lock...done deal! Get over it and move on. He was scared of the competition when he was the only one on the board...why would he switch now????? Brey has more upside than JS anyway.

Nick will start next year and let Brey get some muscle and knowledge and see what happens in 2011.

I wish JS the best in LA. UT has the QB they need!

If he was scared of competition, why would he go to the school that has the most elite talent at that position?

I agree the book on Scroggins is closed, or should be.

I think that all the Florida commits will soon decide they would rather play for UT. Those we do not accept will be so distraught they will retire from football forever. I expect all this to happen within the next seven days.

barkley starts as a frosh. JS red-shirts and is a r-Fr Matt's jr yr. You do the math!

Still a done deal at USC!

Okay guys, we finally got our QB commitment for the '10 class. Tyler Bray is the 7th or 8th guy CLK has chosen to lead our offense into the future. Everyone has said all along that all we need is a QB commit and then the recruits will start rolling in. I would say we have done a great job thus far without a QB, but now that we have one who will be the first to roll in? Also, do you think we may move up some of the top tier prospects lists now that we have a signal caller? Are there any currently committed prospects that may take a second look at UT now that we have a QB? Discuss...
Fixed it. You can thank me later.:hi:

Our starting qb for 2011 will be a kid we recruit in 2011 class like Teddy Heisman or Lemay

No love for Bray huh?

If we're starting a true freshman in 2011 with the schedule we have that year we're in trouble

I think we should all have a spelling bee.

Start with the last name of the Arie kid who is an offensive lineman up north with a real good kid brother.

Not an easy name and if he is a Vol it will get brutalized on message boards. He will also be called Ari like the old White House P.S. and the agent on Entourage.

Bray will be our QB in 2011, possibly end of 2010 considering our schedule it will most likely be a revamp year.

Dang. Some people have little faith in Stephens. I think he'll be the starter and do an adequate job his senior season.

If Bray makes it in early, he will have more than enough time to bump Stephens. A solid Spring and if he approaches it the right way he will easily be starting game 1 next year.

Phillip Sims is next.

Actually Cobbs, then the O linemen, Riley at sometime

We redshirt Bray,

N Stephens and Lamaison battle it out for next year

2011 will be a battle between a top tier 5 star prospect and Bray (maybe even Lamaison)

Who will want to start behind that line...Brimfield blocking for ya with Sullins...Yowzers...

Leifheit, D Robinson, Stone all would get significant snaps as freshmen.

I really hope we take two more WRs, Cobbs and Stills. The only thing about Stills is he thinks that he won't get immediate playing time, and the fact that we recruited Ambles herder than him, because Kenny thinks that he is better than Ambles.

If any true freshman are playing on the OL, we're going to get the **** kicked out of us.

So you would take a commitment from Stills over Meline, Dunkley or Reed? We don't need to take any receiver commitments other than Cobbs until we see how things play out with Reed and LSU and Dunkley and all of the schools he is suiting.

Ok, I've done the math and even with that scenario, he's not guaranteed a spot and he will have to compete with other more talented QB's than the Vols have at this point. USC will also sign more QB's before Barkely moves on.

If he was afraid of competition, USC would be the last place he would go and TN would be the first.

You're right though, it is a done deal. I believe Bray will be a great fit for Kiffin's O.

Im sure Bray was told he will have the opportunity to compete for the starting job next year. I believe that Stephens will be our qb next year, and a good one at that. Bray will have every chance to win the job, and most likely will be the starter once Stephens leaves. That being said, this staff will sell a 2011 kid that he will have the chance to come in and compete with Bray for the starting job. This staff is all about competition, and I love it.

I anticipate at least one JUCO coming in the '10 class on the offensive line, someone a bit more ready than guys like Stone and Robinson. Then maybe 1-2 more freshman commitments along with Pair/Fulton/Jose.

Outside of Cobbs or Riley finally making their commitment to us, I don't necessarily know you're going to see a lot of guys jumping on board in the next 7-10 days just because of Bray.

You let me know if you think we can go through next season with no backups getting PT using the following:

Center is Kevin Revis

Dallas Thomas LT maybe JerQuari Schofield backup?
Cody Pope LG
Aaron Douglas RT backup Shaw
William Brimfield (converted DL) RG

Depth is Carson Anderson and Dallas Thomas? Am I missing a reason to think that 4 star OL talent will not be able to get in as backups real early on especially if some of them are December enrollees?

After Cobbs I don't think we will take another wr. We would be stacked at that positon next year. We are looking at Jones, Warren, A. Rogers, Moore, Nuke, Teague, Z. Rogers, Milton, Ambles, and cobbs. I would like a guy like Reed or Dunkley though. So we could have a little more speed out there.

I think either Shaw or Douglas will be moved to left tackle next season. Just a guess though.
