So What Happened at Junior Day???

It seems that Dooley may have not wanted anyone to commit this weekend, IMO. As much as I thought we would see 1 or 2, he probably wants them to make an educated decision instead of floundering around for a few months before signing day. Now, I still think we will have at least 10 commitments before the season starts.

I have never blocked anyone but Fiji boy is pushing my limits. At least Posi and Hat rephrase and reshape their negativity. Fiji seems like he cuts and pastes from one thread to the next.

Fiji is a long way away, he is probably starving for news of any kind, not just the Vols. Hey Fiji, we did pretty good in the Olympics.

I only hope that all these naysayers and negative "fans" will have the guts admit to all these statements after Dooley and crew prove themselves to be very good.

I'll straighten my panties and head off to work. I am just sayin top CEO's communicate with their troops. I own my own company I can't understand not communicating information to my employees,no way to run a railroad. Damn there I go again I am off.

Seriously? Since when are you one of the troops? Hell I'm not even sure you're a Vol fan with the constant spewing of garbage you put out. Bottom line is we can have any opinion we want and it really isn't going to matter. What will matter is the product we put on the field this fall. I'm just so sick of coming on here and seeing these pseudo Vol fans who are more concerned about their opinions being right than our program being in good shape. Spare us your negativity until we actually play a game.

you want to know??? dooley has no obigation according to them to tell us anything. We can draw our own conclusions about the day like why we are offering every kid that plays high school football in Tennessee a scholly. I don't give a crap what you guys say block me but Dooley this is not La Tech and we can not win with a boat load of 2 star kids from Tn. That for years has been the Vandy route. Flame all the f you want.

We nor the coaching staff are your parents. You can't go around stomping your feet and saying stupid stuff so you get your way.... You remind me of the kid at Wal-mart. :good!:

I also have my own business.... but you don't see me demanding and stomping with a bad attitude.

On a side note: I like the way Dooley is running the show. Seems like he has more of a stable recruiting system and I don't have to worry about us showing up in the headlines all the time.

I was never a fan of Kiffin and his loud mouth antics. If you want someone like that then please follow him USC...

Hopefully there's an element of stability in Tennessee football now, but I'm not worried about the fact that a bunch of juniors didn't yell "commit" at Junior Day. Based on the past couple of seasons/offseasons and the rollercoaster ride our staff has undergone, I'm not shocked that we have a bunch of interested but skeptic players who want to go through the process.

But I have faith that Dooley is harvesting these relationships well and we will get a few guys over the summer that know they want to come here.

3. Im sure you don't inform your clients on every decision your making or why you are doing them until it is done.
4. It is ok Lane...we know you just want to know who we are offering so you can offer them but enjoy probation

and you guys get your wish I am through posting so that should make you coolaid drinkers very happy. It seems that on this board if you don't agree you get blasted. I am more a vol than 90% of the posters on here and I put my money where my mouth is. I enjoyed my years as an undergrad and will continue to hold my season tickets and VASF membership and root like hell for my Vols, but I am no blind sheep and I firmly believe people should respect opinions, whether they agree or disagree. :finger3:

You believe all opinions should be respected but then flip everyone off?

I don't understand some people on here cough*Fijivol72*cough. We had 16 years of a coach that really didn't say much of anything (mostly because not much was going on in the last decade) followed by one year of a loudmouth jackass. And he still wants a loudmouth jackass and acts like that's how it's always been. Dooley doesn't have to tell us s**t. Live with it. You pay money to get to watch the team. That's it. You don't own it, and you're not part of it. But I thank you for your contributions. The grass in Neyland looks especially lovely this time of year and the new locker room is super nice. But don't act like you're owed updates on everything like some little brat. So take your angry posts elsewhere. I recommend Southern California.

From another of your threads:

By the way comparing Saban and Dooley is foolish, Saban had already won a NC, Dooley is striving for his second winning season of his coaching career, that debate is not even a fair fight.

Yeah, clearly you firmly believe people should respect opinions, whether you agree or disagree.

It would be one thing to come on and simply wish for more information or news. You might get a little more sympathy. But you come on and bash the coaching staff, essentially asserting they don't know what they're doing (and of course you do), all because they don't do what you think they should do and you're not getting your fix.

I think a pretty healthy percentage of people on this board can respect a difference of opinions, you are just pretty masterful at instantly putting people off.

Try starting over.

I took the time a few days ago to look through all of vol72's posts, and those that mentioned his negativity are correct. We all get negative at times, but when all posts are downing an individual, it gets a bit tiresome.

I don't mind a negative opinion about the staff or the program if it is backed up with facts but the same old unintelligent, regurgitated opinions over and over are annoying. I'm trying to figure out the hatred for this staff when they haven't even played a game? Are people so stupid they can't understand the timing of the coaching change and the changes in the internal structure of the football program?

Dooley is doing a great job so far but his priorities don't match some of the nitwit fans we have. He closed out our recruiting class on a high note. I think the staff given the timing of the change is good and the continuity should be better. CDD also had to change the internal structure, implement his policies and be sure everyone understands and adheres to those policies; I'm fairly sure everyone is intelligent enough to know that CDD and Kiffin run things in entirely different ways. Once all of the above was accomplished, he still had to set up the offseason program, meet and evaluate current players on the roster, and meet staff and implement schemes to be used this season. Believe or not I think CDD is prioritizing this coming football season and preparing us for success over making sure a few fair weather fans are in the loop.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we are not the employees. I agree that upper management needs to be in constant contact/communication with the employees (players). We are the consumer and I promise you I do not tell my customers everything going on behind closed doors. He'd never buy a thing LOL!:p
