So, you all were so anxious to get with Nike, huh?

Just curious, is the original poster the salesman at Academy, who spent 30 minutes the other day trying to convince me NOT to buy NIKE running shoes?

I hate it when salesmen do that.

Just sayin...

The list of schools Nike outfits while respecting tradition is long and distinguished:

- Alabama
- Florida
- LSU
- Georgia
- Texas
- Penn State
- Florida State

And so on. There have been a few bad isolated incident among major schools of Pro Combat screw ups, but it's far and away a huge upgrade - one we should embrace!

Adidas hires better sweatshop workers.

Great point! Underrated post IMO. But Nike unis will look better ( no sarcasm, just the truth). Some ppl are just afraid of change, or progress, I'm not sure which scares them more. Opinions are like ***holes...including mine.

How old are those? I don't see too many shox being worn lately. Not trying to be a jerk, but if your shoes are 1-2 years old you can expect that to happen eventually.

They are a bit older but are in excellent condition...At least they were....Only cost like $25.00 at the nike factory outlet..No big deal but got a laugh out of the thread and this happening.

Personally, I've never had a shoe separate like that. I will wear a pair until the tread is completely worn off, which usually takes 2-4 years depending on use (hunting and hiking boots will usually last 5+ years).

I have never been able to wear Nike shoes because they are too narrow. I have always worn either Reebok, Skechers, or New Balance because they are available in a wide width and fit my foot much better than Nike.

Appreciate the fun fact of the day. Guess the 80's was the last time you wore pair???

And your problem is probably not with your golf clubs but the guy holding em. Keep that front shoulder straight captain Hook. 40 hours a week and Barkley's golf instructor couldn't fix your funk.

I would not hire Barkley's instructor because of his results with Barkley. I do draw the ball and when I overswing I go left. Are you a member of my country club or do you clean carts and run the beverage cart?

I wore Nike for years and about six years back I was fitted for shoes at a place other than Dick's and bought Asics Kayano. There is no comparison in the quality and feel. The new Kensei line looks good too.

I have Doc Martens that are two decades old, Herman Survivor boots that are three decades old, and two pairs of boots from England circa mid 60's. All wearable, though the Herman Survivor boots look rough. The Docs are showing their age, but I honestly don't really take care of them. The other boots are in excellent condition.

My skate shoes though, I destroy those quick. As for modern stuff, I can get a couple or three years out of Merrell hiking shoes.

I have Nikes that I like and sometimes I ride bikes in them, but I don't expect them to last very long. I do have narrow feet though so the fit is on point.

Once more?...We never were a Nike school

You sure??.......

"Nike is especially proud to resume our association with the University of Tennessee," Nike sports marketing director Kit Morris said. "We admire their rich tradition and are enthusiastic to begin working once again with Volunteer student-athletes, coaches and programs."

After 18 years apart, the University of Tennessee athletics department will retain NIKE as its official apparel provider on July 1, 2015. The eight-year contract signed this week is valued at roughly $35 million. The school has 17 months remaining on its current contract with adidas.

Tennessee was a “NIKE school” previously but switched to adidas in 1997. Thus, the new contract is a reunion of sorts.

Keywords & phrases: resume, once again, "after 18 years apart", previously, switched, reunion
