Sounds like the Utah coach waited for the right moment to make a big stink about it to the umpires knowing she could get an out on a technicality. Unbelievable.

Otherwise, I would be even more nervous thinking no one is paying attention to what is going on.

What a cluster ****. Could they not put duct tape over the front number or sew something over it until the correct jersey gets here? Did we not bring this to the attention of the umps and opposing team before the game and get a ruling?

Brian Rice on the call in the last tourney made mention of the number problems and that it would be corrected when we get back to Kville I believe he said. I guess the coaches just did not realize the sub would put both in during the same time. Honest mistake that should not ever happen. Nike screwup and we should have caught it well before the season. JMHO as always! SS

Phillips is pretty fast. Not going to run track in the offseason, but she’s not a “turtle” by any means. Might PR for her when the game is on the line, but not a smart move to do it early in the game.
