Looks like we are definitely going after Ware more than Jones. CCM believes Ware is the better fit (didn't say better player) for his system and has definite ties to the team with his former Celtic teammates. Also, looking for another shooter in this class.

Harris indicated that we will recruit Atlanta much harder than Memphis due to distance and his established relationships there.
"It's kind of a unique situation; Atlanta is about half the distance from here as Memphis, you get there in 2½ to three hours, Memphis its almost six hours.

"That (Atlanta) has got to be home base. You have to hone in and get the kids in your own state, but definitely Atlanta and Georgia as a whole are areas we'll hit pretty hard.''

That quote speaks to what area they will concentrate on in future recruiting. It does not say anything specifically about recruiting Ware vs. Jones. Or did he say something else that led you to that conclusion?

I ran into Brian Williams on campus last year before the spring game and he was high as a kite.. He was riding around in a Ford Expedition and at a red light.. Spoke to him for about a minute and he could barely keep his eyes open and it wasn't sleep deprivation..

Why in the world would you tell such a thing? Do you understand what a code of ethics is? Do you realize it makes YOU look much worse than him when you tell about such things? You should be worried about your credibility...not just in this forum, but in life. The fact you would report such an event makes you about as untrustworthy as anyone could be. Grow up

Either believe it or don't, but I don't see where ethics enter into relaying a story; especially after the guy's career is over.

This is a stupid post. He has absolutely no ethical reason not to share this information at any time. It also has nothing to do with credibility. You sir, are the one who needs to grow up, not the poster.

It's all about personal ethics. How does he know he was high as a kite? You don't tell something like that in a public chat room. It is beyond immature, regardless of what YOU think. I can promise you that more people frown upon reporting such information than think it is ok, but then again, I've been in the real world much longer than you.

Has nothing to do with snitching and I didn't mean it that way. I am serious. Obviously, you are too young to understand. If you think it is ok that he posted this, then you haven't got the first clue

Understandable. Indications are that Scotty and Tobias are both leaning towards declaring for the draft. We can all agree on that, correct?

Then, Ware and Jones could both possibly commit once CCM meets with them, HOWEVER, if both do commit that would be a nie boost to the team... Still a lot of ?'s on the team.

I was more or less just stating that we don't have a ton to start with this next year, got a lot of work to do.

yeah i agree. all i'm saying is scotty played so terrible in the sec tourny and against Michigan that there is no way he is ready, or will be ready for the NBA. and in my opinion Tobias is phenomenal but being the best player on a team that had just self destructing tendencies doesn't prove much.

100% agree. Why did you post that, sausage ?

I'm sure that some of us know personal info regarding other former players and/or current players, but out of respect we choose NOT to post it in a forum like this for the world to see. Airing your dirty laundry for the world to see is one thing, airing someone elses is totally different...

Personal observation is quite effective in determining the functioning state of individuals. This has nothing to do with personal ethics. He reported his observations and conclusions based on those observations. Every one is left to take the information for whatever it is worth. You have a very strange view of ethical behavior and I'm not sure that you are in the real world. It appears to be more fantasy land than any thing.

Like I said, you don't spout off such things in a public forum. It is extremely unethical. Sadly, your opinion on the matter is totally uninformed, yet you speak as though you are in the know. BTW, how old are you?

Old enough to know that you don't have a clue what you are talking about. Stating your opinion is what these boards are all about. If you think that is somehow unethical, you should just say good by to Volnation. All kinds of folks who post on here give their opinion of players, what they observed, and what they believe. Unless they have fabricated the information, there is no ethical issue. Sorry that you are so uninformed.

So you're a naive little boy? With really no concept or true understanding of personal ethics. That is what I thought. Stating an opinion about someone's athletic ability or performance in a game certainly isn't unethical. Never said it was. Popping off in a public forum that you saw some student/athlete high as a kite is, and I repeat, extremely unethical. Sorry if I think my opinion on the matter is a little more informed than yours, but it is because you don't seem to be able to ascertain the difference. You'll figure it out one day when you're older

BTW, I do not need your affirmation to post in VolNation. Let's move on

You just posted in another thread that from what you have heard Hopson is pretty straight compared to some other players when it comes to pot. TP is sharing a firsthand account about a former player. You made a generalization based on hearsay. I don't get why you have a problem with TP's post and then post about the exact same thing basically.

I have bolded all areas where you make assumptions yourself, the same kind of things that you have such disdain for as you have made quite apparent in your postings.

If you don't mind me asking, what does age have to do with any of this? Age prejudice has become such an issue in America that it was made illegal to ask someones specific age beyond "are you over 18" on job applications. Don't tell me someone of such ethical standards as yourself hold prejudice over age?

I don't think he crossed the line telling his story about Williams being high.

Now, if be had spilled the beans on Williams' love affair with Steve Forbes (aka Monster Mash) that's crossing the line.

TP is sharing a firsthand account about a former player.

But a firsthand anonymous account. Everyone here is hidden--except Brian. Or Cam, or Scotty, or Swiper. That's the nature of a message board of course but it bears repeating occasionally. Brian doesn't get to come on here and report what he saw any of you doing on the Strip, so have some class.
