You can't, but it happens more than we care to admit.

Edit: Actually, in York City, there is a ban on carrying fire arms. They arrested a guy with a .22 rifle who was shooting at rats in the garbage last year. Gun was legit, he had a permit etc.

As in NYC, why is this surprising?

NYPD runs ops out of jurisdiction in other states.

My point was I would be stopped and let go on my way, my neighbor would most likely be arrested. The law is applied differently according to race. Hence a middle class Black man would be discouraged from owning a gun. This was the basis for the recent case in D.C.

Trying to figure out the supposed widespread false arrest claim.

If someone is placed under unlawful arrest they should go ape chit.
