Different bar than first video posted. So far word is you can’t walk into a bar in town without seeing the same thing.
My hatred for OSU started in the Andy Katzenmoyer/John Cooper era and was toked after the 96 Citrus bowl. Then after they whined about not being on the 98 title game (a radio station actually had a computer enhanced game between us and them), it went to new heights. Ioved to Louisville (I live back in TN now)and was exposed to more of them than I'd ever known, and the arrogance was amazing. This was 24 years ago before the titles Tressel and Meyer won, so I was astounded at how arrogant they were. One of the most arrogant fan bases I’ve ever seen
In a game of pickup I don't think anyone would take Will Howard. TBH I don't think he is very good and the Arkansas QB scared me more. I'm sure Nico can match whatever level Howard plays at.From their message boards about Tennessee fans being in Columbus -
"Tennessee fans are just doing the most on social media because this is literally their super bowl. A win in the The Shoe tomorrow would be Top 3 in program history."
"I saw a Tennessee fan at Kroger tonight and he was spitting tobacco juice on the floor on each aisle."
Typical Yankee stuck up snobby jackassery.
On the SEC coming to Columbus -
"The SEC heavyweights are a handful, luckily Tennessee is not one of them."
On Nico Iamaleava -
"Tennessee's QB is the best thing we have going for us, and what gives me a glimmer of hope. If we can contain the dreaded QB draw we always seem to struggle with, Nico could have a rough night. It doesn't take much pressure to get him in panic mode and then he can really make some bizzare decisions."
"Nico was the number one reason why I haven’t been too concerned about this game.. He seems to get flustered easy and it really bogs their offense down at times."
"This is easy. In a game of pick-up, I think everyone would take Howard as their first choice."
Sorry for the new post. These deserve to not get buried in a thread somewhere.
“Have never seen so many opposing fans in my 30 years of attending home games. This is insane. The stadium is going to be over 30% Tennessee based on what Columbus looks like right now”
“I’m seeing same thing. I own a bar downtown and have never seen anything like this. Been here since ‘85 and this is the first time an outright majority of clientele are opposing fans.”
“Really not sure what is going on or if anti-day fans sold tickets but at this point it’s not just rumors that Tennessee fans are here in huge numbers.”
“Seriously impressive how much orange is downtown right now, but also could be embarrassing for us if our home field has splotches of Orange for whole world to see in prime time”
I’m still rummaging through posts. The best part is I know of a ton of people waiting to leave tomorrow if they think tonight is alot of orange.
meh'...though it's the most important game in 25 years, I'd peg any wins vs Bama, UGA, and even breaking UF streak as bigger wins than OSU in the past 5-7 years. This isn't OSU of past 5 years or so. I'd peg this game like the Bama game this year...OSU significant edge on paper w/ player ratings, but just like Bama, OSU getting alot of props off legacy. From their message boards about Tennessee fans being in Columbus -

I love when Osu fans say this is Tn Super Bowl.. like mfs it’s the playoffs the all high and mighty act bc they know they’re fans ain’t on the same level. From their message boards about Tennessee fans being in Columbus -

Nah,I live amongst OSU fans, they truly are more arrogant when it comes to football.Tennessee fans have been quite arrogant as well, with no major wins to bolster their esteem. Folks have had three weeks to yap back and forth about this game. Glad it's finally here. The really important people get to speak tonight, on the field.
That was a special time and so is right now after the 17 years of wandering aimlessly in the desert. One can see clearly what a poor administration and poor coaching choices can do to a program. Enjoy it for all it’s worth and appreciate it. As a 60 year fan, I know I am regardless of the result tonight. This is the most fun I’ve ever had as a fan. I’m 31 and was too young to really truly grasp how special the late 90’s-early 2000’s vols were.
For you fence sitters …. There are still plenty of lower level cheap tickets to be had …. Don’t wanna regret not being part of what is shaping up to be one of the historic moments in CFB !!!
The night the VOLS came to town!!!!!
Howard is an underrated running QB. As long as Banks brings the pressure, I think Howard will have issues making quick decisions. In a game of pickup I don't think anyone would take Will Howard.
