I guess since he's the highest ranking staff member who is actually in America doing his job, he's the spokesperson. Nothing like seeing a guy who his peers consider to have all the ethics of a bus station hooker whining about the conduct of others.

If Jones worked for anyone but Bruce Pearl, casting aspersions on other coaches without a modicum of evidence of wrongdoing would be a firable offense. Alas, that's one of the benefit of working for 'AA stoolpigeon.

hey thanks i personally think Bruce has done a decent job so far. I think last years team got away from him and didnt improve very much at all over the course of the season. But they lost some keys guys from the previous season.

i think this is Pearl's big year. He has to have a heck of a recruiting class this year since he will be losing five guys. and also i think the fans will expect to see a much improved product on the court from last year.

I don't see a good recruiting class.

I'm just getting warmed up on that crew. My campaign against them is going to make my commentaries on Fulmer look positive by comparsion.

Given that you're the leading the charge, if you get your wish, you're on the hook with the new hire, IMO.

It's not like anybody's going to fire you from anything, but you're campaigning against a coach who's sent a winning team to the floor since the day he showed up. This is a very important year, both in-season and on the recruiting trail - let's see how it plays out.

On a side note, what do you think about Cal apparently now recruiting Selby and the attitude baggage that you heard comes with him?

me either actually not sure what he is going to do. I do feel like the juco route will bury him in the end if thats all the players he pulls

Selby's baggage doesn't change simply because his college destination does.

Cal is a heck of a recruiter plus he knows the kid can play. It makes it even sweeter if he can stick one to UT while he does it

I'm more homing in on Cal apparently recruiting a kid that was being passed over by multiple would-be suitors due to said baggage. I guess Cal and Bruce will sometimes take an interest in the same type of kids, if the player is good enough.

I'm only on the hook if they hire one of my guys. Otherwise, it'll be just another coach to use as a pinata.
