That will be a good schedule in 2016.

We will play Connecticut, Nebraska, Virginia Tech.

Away games at Georgia, South Carolina, Vandy and an away game against an S.E.C. West team.

Home games with Florida, Alabama, Missouri, Kentucky and another home game with a non conference opponent.

Nebraska & UT are going to mutually agree to can that game.

rumor is they are going to put bleachers on the track, but the way to make it fun is to buy the most expensive highpowered binoculars at the local stores to help support the local economy or heck even telescopes would be good , arrgahh a pirates life for me... matey, and drink lots and party with the pretty girls dude.... football woodstock, bring a tent and camp out who knows how many women will show up and what they'll have. sounds alot better than racing, who says the players won't have to turn left to get on the field.. lol.

Hopefully not herpes.

Bleacher Report is reporting that there will be a $400 million renovation to be completed in Jan 2016 and the seating will be reduced to 101,000. That's less than the seating in Neyland.
Tennessee vs Virginia Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway? CFB Should Do More of This | Bleacher Report

This article is dumb as hell. Yeah let's host college football games overseas, because fans here will travel for that. Oh and it's pretty easy on the players themselves too, to prepare and travel that far. Bleacher Report really stinks

Not sure they allow that anymore, though I suspect they will allow beer sales for the game. Back in the day every fan had their cooler full of beer with them at the races. I think that has been limited significantly of late. Not 100% sure but I heard that was the case. Haven't been there for several years.

College Football regulations will not allow alcohol of any form to be sold. There was a contract signed today and it follows all regulations as if the game was being played at either teams home stadium. I asked this question at the presser today and that was the answer I got. Don't be surprised if you cant take coolers in like you can at the races. The Smith Family is making this happen and they are not gonna hurt there image since this will be the BEST EVER.

You're wrong about college football regulations. A lot of bowl games sell alcohol and there are teams that sell it as well. I think Missouri is one of them.

This is from the battleatbristol website:

Can I bring a cooler into the stadium?
Unfortunately, no. This is a unique event and will operate in a similar fashion to other NCAA football games. While coolers will not be permitted, concessions and adult beverages will be sold within the stadium.

OK I'm wrong...What did they tell you in person at the presser today? I do live in the area and I do have a lot of friends close to whats gonna happen in 2016. We will see what happens.

I wasn't at the presser but I've been to plenty of college games where alcohol was sold.

Since you were there, what did it look like from the infield looking out at the stands?

Kills me that so much of the talk about this event revolves around alcohol. Do some of you have to drink to enjoy the Vols?

Have you actually seen the Vols play the last few years. Alcohol is damn near required.

Unfortunately you are right, but i believe the product is getting better. As for alcohol every bowl game i have been to since '97 has sold it. GBO!
