Something Bama will never have

Like I said, bust away. But us making fun of Bama comes across as a little silly to other fans. Right now, Bama is the good looking stud state champ QB with the homecoming queen girlfriend and the ZR1. You know what I mean?

Sorry if I offended anyone, but I think Alabama has earned some level of respect. Their team has been the standard bearer for our conference for several years and their alumni are some of the classiest people you will ever meet. I'd like to think the feel the same way about us.

In my opinion, there is much they will "never have". They will certainly never be Tennessee, for better or worse. The do have one do have one of the strongest brands in college football and some great history.

If you want to bash them, then okay. But, I don't think that is the Right mindset to have when we have to go to their house this weekend.

Classiest? Yeh, teabaggers and tree poisoners sure are classy.

Here's a little ditty for ya...I dont give a damn about the whole state of alabama, the whole state of alabama, the whole state of alabama, I dont give a damn about the whole state of alabama...we're from Tennessee.

To your point, our stadium has been quiet for a long time. We have no room to say anything (yet). One should think twice before saying negative things about Bama these days. We have no room to talk trash. They will never have Mike Hamilton, Dooley, Kiffin, Fulmer, Free Tacos, A loss to Wyoming, loss to Memphis, loss to Vandy, or loss to UK.

Indeed, let's dial it down a notch.

Free tacos? Alabama is a serial cheating cesspool and the NCAA called them on it when the AA cared. They're playing a guy now that was getting paid by a coach. GTFO.

I agree that we have been quiet for a long time. I also think that the last two games is indicative of a very hungry fan base, a fan base that is excited about the future and energized by the play of the team. For those games, the noisy giant of the college football world has been awakened. And I can understand why Bryant Denny is not as loud as Neyland is or will be. When you come into a game with expectations of a romp, good plays are accepted and get good cheers. It takes an exemplary play to get a fat and sassy fan base to get off their feet. I know a few Alabama fans and they are expecting this to be another Arkansas game, maybe not quite 50 plus. At one point in the early 2000s, I felt like we were getting to that point -- a couple of decades of incredible success and we had started to take success for granted. The last 5 years has been a bitter, bitter pill to take. We are ready for something better and we see that things are turning around. We have something to cheer about. I expect that in the next 5 years Neyland Stadium will regain its reputation as being among the loudest places to play in college football.
