I was at Alabama game last year. It was very obvious! Guy raised his pinky over his shoulder pads we get the ball at the 5, they get a punt to midfield then wrap arms around our D’s neck while they hit a 50 yd td throw. Just wrong! Wrong! Wrong! It was some holding calls which killed our drives in 1st half against UF. Go look at tape they were holding almost exactly and no flags.

Not only Tennessee that Birmingham is trying to keep down but some other teams as well. Really starting to believe ACC has hand delivered 2 games to Miami this year!!

How are these officials vetted - need to be paid hired and vetted by other than conference offices! When can this please be rectified!!!

Bama game last year definitely, I think they either had 1 or 0 penalties in our game. And if you believe that is possible, hum........

Consider with all the states legalizing betting, the amount of money on the line in these games is huge. I remember the GA OSU championship. Right before the game a huge amount of money came in on OSU to beat the spread. So much that it actually moved the line. Guess what? OSU lost but beat the spread.

The problem with this logic lies in perspective. Every team has fans who can go in and analyze the officiating and point out how their team was screwed. Officials are human, so in that sense, we're all screwed. The thing that works in sports is, even if the officials screwed up in a call against you, they'll balance it out with a screw up on the call against your opponent. That's how it works in life. Grow up or show some real proof of cheating.

I don't know about anything in the SEC. But I watched that travesty in the Notre Dame Northern Illinois game, where the officials falsely marked the ball short of a first down on purpose and for legal reason whatsoever, then reviewed it and came to the obviously false conclusion with absolutely not one shred of evidence that the original call was accurate. This was the most egregorious example of cheating in college football that I've seen and maybe my entire lifetime. Northern Illinois won anyway, thanks to there kicker having to kick a field goal from long distance. But, how that was not investigated, and multiple corrupt individuals fired and banned from the game, I have no idea.

I have it on good authority that two officials last week were Florida grads and the other one is a grad assistant at Florida and Billy Napiers brother.
Tomorrows ref crew all live in Tuscaloosa and are Bear Bryant’s grandsons. It’s so wrong.

Anyone remember 2022? We didn't have them call holding on anyone else's offense until like 10 games in? I swear i remember this stat, even if it got memory holed.

We were posting threads like "20 quarters no holding" etc
I remember….. it was statistically impossible, but yet it happened

Yes, of course. Magicians won’t admit there is no magic and referees won’t admit there is intentional bias. Human nature is greed, envy, pride, and some other temptations, but people in striped shirts with whistles are above it all.

Speaking of growing up. Do you expect us to believe you were born yesterday?

In the video they state that sec teams average 2.3 in play penalties per game, in the last 10 ut games our opponents have averaged .3. Statistics don’t lie.

Oh if...I would definitely change the world....this time. Still looking for your proof, or is that some magic too.

I’m not excusing the officiating one bit. Can you give a reason for doing so?
Bad officiating happens in every single game. The same Vols fans complain about bad calls for us when we are playing bad. But when we play good, they say nothing about bad calls going our way.

It’s ridiculous to complain about officiating.

Broken record. Broken logic.

Try to stop attacking the kids every time it doesn’t go our team’s way and stand up for them for a change.

All I ask is that officials call the games more consistently. If it’s more against my team and never against the other team, I have every right to hold the inconsistent ruling accountable. Don’t like criticism? Tough cookies - The officials chose to judge and criticize for pay when they accepted the job. They cast the yellow, buckshot weighted, “first stone” - every time. Being able to convince the contest’s participants that the ruling was fair should be mandatory. Issuing a gag order on the participating players and coaches is unethical and unacceptable.

The officials and the leagues are not going to make the ruling even or consistent though. Not when they have malicious intent. You can be 100% certain that someone is making extra due to the penalties getting called on the field and the penalties are being called one sided because the officials want said people to make as much money as possible.

That was last year. We were winning big in 2022, and ironically there are fewer complaints about officiating those years.

We’ve been such a threat to college football for the last 20 years. Of course the refs have to hold us down…..you guys sound ridiculous. Was 9/11 an inside job?
