Should not have hired Chaney w/o Pittman IMO.

Pruitt is a good recruiter, but we've fallen pretty far, it's going to be two steps forward and one step back for a while I'm afraid.

Losing Hardy today to Auburn - and Ojulari decommitting two weeks ago for LSU - will have an impact on the team going forward next year. We need DL (especially DE’s), but can’t seem to land any top tier players. What is Rocker’s perception as a recruiter? With immediate playing time to offer, why are we having such a hard time with the DL?

We don’t have immediate playing time to offer. All of our DL are returning next season and that rooms gonna be loaded regardless of who we bring in right now. After next year is a different story. Where we need guys at badly is Linebacker and receiver. We won’t be desperate for DL until 2021.

Really we just need 2-3 more DL in this class at the most and pull a bigger haul next season. Omari, Oxendine, 1 more (probably Baron) we’ll be set. Then we get a bigger haul next cycle.

Butches 5 years here is why a big part of why high school kids don't take Tennessee serious.

Tennessee is - and always has been - a late-recruiting school. I'm sure there lots of reasons for this beyond my comprehension, but it is what it is.

Pruitt will get a top-10 class for 2020.

At UGA, Rocker was not excited about getting out on the road to recruit…But when you brought the kids and their parents into his office…he was impressive…Problem is that most programs are out on the road every day trying to beat his pants off.

I know I’m probably being dramatic with this, but losing those two could be the difference between being 9-3 or 11-1 in a couple years. Just think about how different Florida’s defense is with and without Zuninga and Greenard.

I am thinking Omari Thomas might be a commmit, he has been seen as an Ole Miss lock. Thomas for Hardy ? I was disappointed he chose Auburn. But who knows how things will shake out. Baron I hope stays home also. If they keep winning things will take care of themselves. DL is playing some fine ball right now.....

Shocked to lose Hardy and continue to be concerned regarding Baron but actually Im not sure that we can now offer immediate playing time in 2020 as, thanks to the development of Soloman, Emerson and Middleton who are all hopefully coming back next year as well as Gooden.

Hardy recruitment isnt over. Neither is Baron. This staff is focused on football. Hardy wanted attention, so we think.

Rocker really didn’t have a lot to do with this thing falling apart with Hardy. However I will say that he is not one to hit the ground running on the trail which can be said for Chaney as well. I think we may see that change in the near future.

as the recruiter, he's got to win the battles. especially 1.5 hrs from home, or make the changes necessary. Hardy deal was a chink in his armor...to be continued.
