Songs That Make You Drive Fast!!!!

KDF101's Friday 5 o'clock ride in Nashville back when there was a real radio station there:

Others besides my obsessions with Mother's Finest and U2:

And I don't care what anyone says, Kid Rock is legit:

And one of the ultimate drive fast songs:

KDF was 103 back in my day. Carl P. Mayfield and Bubba Skynyrd from the Freebird Trailer park

Yep. 103. Their friday drive home playlist always kicked off with The Kings and got better every song.
Glen Fry Party Town.
Little bit softer now little bit louder now. Hey hey hey oh.......
Gonna sit down in the kitchen fix me something good to eat..,..

I wanted to like this, but WKDF is 103.3 FM Nashville. Calling it 101 besmirches the legacy of Cletus P. Judd, the greatest mayor Nashville never had.

It was Cleon I was thinking of and cannot remember the last name. I think I still have one of the campaign buttons.

You can't get his name right and I was only 2 digits off?? Brutal man, brutal.

I think they'd worked 'I don't want to work, I just want to bang on the drums all day' into the mix by the time I was listening.

I guess I'll be the guy to throw in one of the existence of creation:

I remember reading about them taking the stage at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge the night before they played the Murphy Center at MTSU, which is the only one of their shows I've seen live.

Not only could I drive fast, slow, and in between to this song, I'd probably forget where I was too:

I was hooked on the Rattle and Hum versions of 40, Desire, When Love comes to town, and I Still Haven't found with the black church choir. Pertty much the entire album and VHS.

I was at ACU when they came to Dallas at Reunion Arena in '85. They had already been around a few years, but maybe just gaining traction in the States. Alot of students drove in for it. I didn't go and didn't really get into them until afterwards. They said he had so much command of the audience. At one point the guard rails were rocking up front and he just stopped and said if they didn't chill they'd walk off, and the crowd at once just drew back like the red sea. Then mid way thru the show they broke into Amazing Grace in Acapella form. As much as they are a part of my listening I've never been to a show. They are on my bucket list.

Brother Jonah... ni ni.

Miss those days terribly. Looked forward to my drive to and from work for about 3 years. Was right at 45 minutes.

I lived in Hendersonville and worked right off Fesslers lane.

Were you in S. FLorida in the early 80's? You weren't right?

Two things to be learned here, the pipes can rock and white people can't dance.
So true. Especially white aussie/brits. But that step prance of his while kicking that guitar in sync will always be epic.

Ya'll may call me stupid, and that's Ok, but I saw Huey Lewis in Abilene at their indoor rodeo arena. His live shows were actually quite good. And bless my wife's heart she'd leave me if she got a wink for Jon Bon Jovi, but man do you get your money's worth from one of his concerts. It was great. Paul McCartney back in '92 at the GA Dome is probably one of the ultimate live performances I've ever seen hands down. 6 encores, almost 3 hours, no opening act. Absolutely gave everything he had.

No, I didn't live here but my mom did. I've been here since 97.
Just wondering if there is anyone in the endzone that remembers Herman and McBean in the mornings. They were out of Ft. Lauderdale though so you wouldn't have heard them I guess.
