This was important to Vandy because they know as well as we do that with their resources they never should have beaten us. In their world, they are giant killers. It would be like us beating Bama this year.

The programs are not comparable with regard to resources, recruiting, fan support, nothing at all and yet they just put down two in a row on us.

I am convinced some people think we just deserve to win games because "We Are Tennessee". Well news flash, other teams don't give a rat's ass what we used to be. They only show up to play (and of late) beat the team we are.

They've already sold they're allotted 10,000 tickets again 3 years in a row. The ticket sales have been very good for the bowl games. They just need to find away to make 10,000 new fans to sell out the home games. Tough to do in a state full of Vol and Bama fans!

I agree. They act like they come in here and beat us when we was on top or something. Its funny it takes the best vandy team in yrs to beat the worst Tn team in yrs and it still come all the way to the end of the gm.

Vandy had a ton of injuries! Starting QB, 2LB'S, 2CB'S and WR all missed several games this season. Get your facts straight and give credit where it's due.

Florida had 25 scholarship players miss at least 1 game over the course of 1 season.

Georgia lost 3WRs, 2 RBs, and a few other players.

Vandys schedule is ridiculously easy.

Vandy beat us 2 years in a row. They still aren't anything special. Why do you think Tennessee is plucking pretty much anyone they want out of TN, especially middle TN?

Ridiculous post. This is nothing like Tennessee beating Bama this year. This was a Tennessee team that was expected to have to fight for everything to get a bowl game. This was a Vandy team destined for a bowl game. This game was a toss up from the beginning of the season on. Bama-Tennessee was an expected blowout from the beginning of the season on. You're the delusional "We Are Tennessee" fan at this point.

Credit where credit is due:

I happen to work with 2 Vandy grads...A DE from 2001 and a LB that just graduated last year. They both say the same thing...Franklin has Vandy playing the best ball they have played in 70 years !!!

Now do they keep beating us, likely not, but do they keep the SEC East interesting...definitely. Would be cool if next year or the year after we are playing Vandy for the SEC East crown on Thanksgiving weekend !!!

NO! Injuries are a part of football. Vandy doesn't beat UF or UGA if either of those teams are healthy. Sorry to bust your bubble though. You beat another bad Vols team so congrats.

I have zero delusions, you apparently have an inability to correlate events though. Our beating 'bama is (and should be!) just as unlikely as Vandy beating us two years in a row and yet somehow, James Franklin has done just that.

Until Butch shows otherwise, I am working under the assumption that Vandy has the best coach in the state right now.

I agree they got a good coach but let ours get his players here the we will know who has the best coach, oh JF fixing to bolt on them anyway who ever takes the Texas job like LES he could and would go there, then him and little nick could get together each year.

Vandy doesn't have to out recruit the Vols. The Dores get their fair share of in state guys as well as those from Florida and Georgia. If Franklin keeps having top 25 recruiting classes every year they will stay competitive and go to bowl games. Coaching matters, Dooley had good players and still couldn't win with them!

In fairness, they make one of these videos after every win and have for the last 2 years... If you're one of the people who this video pisses off, then make sure you don't watch the one from last year. Its pretty hard not to get chills, no matter who you cheer for, when you watch the passion their players play with, especially in the video from last year

You're right. And the last 2 times we played the coaching was horrible. If we can get our heads out of our ass, we will be just fine.
