Play calling is still vague. I'm not saying I disagree, but what specifically?

Did they not build an offensive plan around what Crompton could and could not do? Tebow, might be another example. If Worley's throws continue to be inconsistent and the receivers are inconsistent, then build an offensive strategy around that. I think Worley could be a run weapon when needed. If they continue to let him job through the read option, then no one is coaching him differently. Someone needs to coach him on selling that and making him an offensive threat.

1. Unhappy we're 3-2 and not 5-0 with 45 point margins of victory.

2. Coaches are failing because we're 3-2 with a 50, 32 and 7 point margin of victory. Margin of loss is, well, lets not.

3. I would be running the read option spread slant pass pro attack. I implemented this in NCAA 2014 and it totally works. I've already won 4 national championships in 5 years. I'd also edit the roster to give us more speed.

I feel like this is a pretty solid body of work that speaks to my professional understanding and innate ability to win at football.

Um, no. No i am not.

I think the offense is improving ever so slightly and I base that on we had several players in position today make big plays today and last week and the QB let them down. If we just could get average play out of our QB today this game would have been over at the half.

I thought the defense had improved each week until today and I thought they took a step back. That could have something to do with depth and injuries.

Freak, they have no content. Just complaining. No understanding that this is a new system on both sides of the ball. We will be fine.

I have concerns, but the generic complaints like "we suck" and "Dooley vs Butch" aren't really accomplishing much. I'm just looking to hear specifics on what people are upset (or happy) about.

I really want to believe this, but i was always under the impression that good coaches do more with less and are able to adapt their system to the players that they have.

This kind of reminds me of Rich Rod at Michigan. Hope to God i am wrong.

I want to love Butch sooooooooo bad!!!!!!

Good coaches can, but remember we have no skilled offensive players besides our rbs. Our OL is the best but we don't have an offense

The problem with our offense is that it takes advantage of defenses by speeding up the pace after we move the ball down field play after play. We can't get the ball moving long enough to take advantage that's why we are so stagnant on offense. And our defense is improved. A in the Florida and South Alabama game we gave up big plays, blocked punts, bad field goals returned for huge yards, and bad interception, in which put our opponents offenses in striking distance with momentum. Even great defenses have trouble stopping those situations. If u look at it our defense is massively improved. We had 8 sacks coming into this game...I swear it felt like we had maybe 3 all year last year. Give it some time. We arent making dumb mistakes, and our kickers can actually kick. If we get an offense somewhere along the season EVERYONEs mind will change.

So you expected to see 0 improvement after 5 games?

Weird, i did.

We are showing improvements.....just not big in your face improvements......we were predicted to be a 5-7 to a 7-5 team, hate to tell u but that's what this looks like.

So tell us exactly what you're unhappy about, where the coaches are failing and what you would do differently so there can at least be a discussion.

Just for fun, here's what i would do:

1) Install a "wildcat" package where an actual athlete comes in at QB and runs the read option. Just for a few plays here and there. At least it would keep teams guessing.

2) Go for it on 4th down once.

3) Put AJ on the end for some plays, he'd be nasty off the edge and not get stuck in man coverage.

4) House blitz on 3rd and 15 instead of rushing 4.

5) Get rid of that rediculous punt formation. Just asking for more blocked punts.

Those are just a few, and just my opinion of course.

I am in no position to complain about the coaches, including Butch Jones. However... I will say this, if I did not know Jones was on the sideline.. by the plays being called I would SWEAR Fulmer was on the sideline. Could it be due to lack of Skill players.. so we keep it simple? I have no answer. I will also say that our secondary is weak, and Worley.... if he had a Metal wall blocking the Defensive line he would be awesome. With No pressure on him he does well, BUT.... if he even Thinks someone is about 3 feet from him his heart goes from 78 B.P.S. to 128 B.P.S. and tosses a duck!

I think we are at a point that we have no choice to support the coach that we have.. this "changing the torch" concept will not work. I say lets just try our best to be patient. I am with most here, it is hard to take but it is where we are. Patience... Patience!

Generally, when something is being "rebuilt" you see some actual, you know, progress.

You haven't seen any progress at all? I think Neal averaged almost seven yards per carry today and had a career day. Worley made some terrible decisions but also made some solid throws. Croom finally contributed and we saw what he can do in the open field with the football. Vereen and Sutton are just a couple youngsters showing real potential. Marlin Walls is having a solid year, improved at least. Palardy had made drastic improvement and I've seen our special teams in general improve, even though our depth is limited; Jalen Reeves-Maybin is making a name for himself on special teams and looks like he will be a real contributor soon.

I could go on. We have issues and I have concerns, but If you don't see any progress at all then you aren't looking.

I understand your point Sly. And it's a valid debate, but I think this staff has a system and they won't to run it even though our personnel is ideal, instead of running one system this year and another next.

Worley did run a couple of times today but I agree, I'd like to see him do more to keep defenses guessing.

I agree with 1 more than anything. I would liked to have seen maybe Ferguson get a series early in the 3rd quarter just to mix it up a little.

That's because they had John L Smith for a head coach. Dude couldn't even handle his check book. They have a lot more talent than us. There one season removed from being 11-2 with Petrino.

Goes a little further than that. But ok. They lost a lot on both sides of the ball and are learning a new system too. All new staff.

You can't sugar coat this.

1. I know we have a wildcat. Not sure why we haven't seen it yet. Who would you like to see run it?

2. We tried a fake field goal today before the penalty. Does that count? :)

3. I think I've seen some progress with AJ. Agree or disagree?

4. Pretty sure we blitzed quite a bit today, did we not? I haven't watched the replay.

5. I don't know. It will take more than one miscue before I really have an issue with it.

Assuming they wanted to play a backup, they probably wouldn't have done so until late third or early fourth quarter, and unfortunately the game got too close. There really wasn't a good time to play a backup today IMO.

Okay Freak....I might bite but first, can you tell me the percentage of plays offensively that we were in 2TE 2WR's with 1 rb formations? I ask this because I didn't get to watch the 2nd half. If you remember, then your answer will determine if I have a complaint on this staff. By the way, I firmly disagree with 3 WR sets with the talent on this offense. Last years talent? Give me those 3 and 4 WR sets!

Yeah I agree.

To answer the other question I would like to see Pig in the wildcat as a change of pace and run the read option with him.

No but I'll probably try to chart it this week, time permitting.

Honestly I'm a little surprised we haven't seen the Wildcat at all.
