South Carolina at Oklahoma

Talk about bad O-lines.
It’s normally hard to know how to feel about Carolina, but if their D, especially the line is not as good as they are looking today then OK O line is embarrassingly bad.

Carolina does probably have the second best Dline in the conference behind ours, but OUs oline is pretty bad

Maybe so but Venables was a great DC at Clemson and for OK to be this weak on D is unforgiveable.
If Venables gets the axe, some here will call for him to replace Banks.

A quick scan of Dirtburglars shows OU fans wanting Shanahan 2.0 from Indiana, not Heupel, though someone suggested Mike Leach since it's Halloween and all. I think Leach might take the job since he and the OU football program have a lot in common.

Man, where are all those OU ****-talkers who stomped around our board for two weeks talking about how OU was going to be dominant in the SEC? Where could they have gone?

Not the nice visitors, those guys were fine. I mean the real bona fide twerps who ran their mouth non-stop about how the Big 12 was equivalent to the SEC.

I’d have a hard time justifying running Bnks off to get Venables.

They forgot the SEC takes pride in playing defense. And OK didn’t bring one to the conference. If they are gonna even be mediocre in this league they better learn to stop people.

The key to survival in this league is understanding no one quits on a game. You may be up 50-0 but it won’t be because someone quit on you. That’s why it is so competitive. And you can’t go into cruise control or you’ll get a bad surprise.

Not sure if Heupel will leave but you can't deny that OU might be looking for a coach soon with the way things are going and Heupel is going to be on that list of candidates.
They may try but Heupel isn’t going anywhere. What’s OU gonna give him $10 million plus Venables buyout? I am not worried at all. Why?

Danny White.

I tend to agree but it could be a reality. I think BV will get 1 more year but it is getting ugly there.

Or they just were never very good.

I think Heupel didn't want to embarrass them and also saw Nico/offensive struggles. We didn't need a lot of flash to beat them so we moved on.

I think it is actually more about Venables than Oklahoma. Brent Venables and Josh Heupel are friends form what I hear.
