South Carolina at Oklahoma

It appears OU’s players have somewhat tossed in the towel on the staff

OK was just not ready for the SEC. They beat us barely when we were down as a program and honestly we had that game.

SEC final is making fun of them just said this ain’t Baylor you’re playing now. Hahaha.

This is rapidly approaching the end of Venables. I can’t see Castiglione signing up for one more year of this.

Danny White better prepare for a battle over Heupel.

OU has mismanaged this QB situation. Because of one bad half of play against Tennessee they benched Jackson Arnold. The backup has not been that good and single handedly gave the game to South Carolina in the first 5 minutes. Venables looking like Ron Zook.

Jackson Arnold had looked terrible against Houston and Tulane as well. Granted, they might have been in a better spot sticking with him long-term at this point.

Oklahoma's real issue is its offensive line. Everyone mentioned it all off season but Sooner fans and, in some ways, the program at large stuck their heads in the sand and now they are paying the price. This isn't the Big12 anymore.

I think people write off SEC and B1G sometimes because they lay eggs in OOC games like Auburn vs. Cal or Arkansas vs. Oklahoma State this year but the SEC truly is a better league than the Big12 and it was a jump. OOC games are just not treated with the same intensity as conference games for the most part (well unless you are Big12/Pac12 wanting to get respect and you treat every SEC opponent like a superbowl game).

The B1G sucks. Have an SEC against the B1G, and I think the B1G gets ran through.

One might also consider that Riley pretty well screwed the incoming OU coach over. Whether it was Venables or someone else. Thin stable but good enough for the B12 and to woo the national talking heads cause it's OK. For whatever reason, Riley thought USC would be a better gig, and they up and went to hte B1G and they also are having a terrible season. Karma. Bailed on OU to avoid the SEC, and the B1G is spanking him.

They let a really good QB transfer out, huge mistake.
