In my opinion, USC is playing better than us right now. Take away our fortunate bounces and we are losing this game! We need to throw the ball deep!:rock:

Wrong. The problem is that our pass rush is getting up the field too much and Newton has consistently been able to step up in the pocket and take off running.

great first half guys ... neither Defense is really playing that great ... it looks like we're running a lot of zone ... and Einge(sp) is just picking it apart ... for some unknown reason we're actually able to run the ball right now

We need efficiency ....no penalties, fumbles, mistakes, etc. and drive the field for a score.

The reason is known. Our defense is a cream puff. It's incredibly soft in the middle.

I hope the team that played Gawgia in the 2nd half comes out in this one..........

it doesn't help that their run D is playing fairly well so far...we need to balance the pass...THEN we can go deep!

He a good RB, but just from what I've seen at UT and expect UT to have not up there, not real deal holyfield.

I hope he proves me wrong in the 2nd half.

As for the ball he missed. Your D-1 playing at Tennessee, you catch that ball.

He breaks 2-3 tackles per carry. The offensive line needs to give him a little help.

yes we need efficiency...but we need some stops on defense. Our defense is Jekyl & Hyde this year. Where is last weeks defense?

True, True, True.

As far as 2nd half adjustments go:

Drop the Zone D, with all the blitzing. Man up and place a line back on Newton's ass. There not comming across the middle with and Tight Ends or WR's so put a man on Newton. Kind of like the Basketball D box and one.

If we cover them, like we should there's no doubt in my mind we'll shut them out. Newton cannot throw the ball in the pocket. Make the D-ends contain and make him come up the middle to run where Bam!! The man assigned to Newton is.

Of course this is all based on if we step up that run D. Which is horrible.

We all saw the adjustments Chavis made at half against Georgia and Alabama. Here's hoping we get out with a W again.

a decent O-line + scrambling QB = trouble for Vols...but I trust CPF and Cut will make the adjustments....:rock:
