South Carolina game

I want to see some wicked hits that knock the ball loose time and time again. Then, grind their D into the ground, exhaust them. Score, score and score some more, but make them pay for it by controlling the clock and take our time administering the payback. Make it hurt, make it last, make them feel like the game will never be over.
Go for two after every TD. Rub salt into the wound. Then hot sauce

It was a devastating loss that did significant damage to the post season. It was beyond embarrassing. I hope the team has this game circled and I hope our fans that were guaranteeing a Vols win by huge margin were humbled.

The only problem i have with this game, is even if we win, we're still going to hear the words "But do you remember how bad we beat you last year?" It leads me to believe the players will be under unwarranted pressure to beat them just as bad.

Just win, by 1 or 100. They're gonna hold on to last year cause that's how they are. We can hold on to every year after that.

I actually don't fear that narrative. I think there is more evidence that the Tennessee game was a fluke game. Rattler had 8 TDs and 9 INTs heading into the game. Beating them like a drum jut further proves that. On top of that they have a really tough schedule. Good chance if we stomp them, they are also not dominating their schedule. Could be a very humbling, back to earth season for them.

All I have heard since January is how bad South Carolina Gamecocks blasted my Vols in regular season play last year. I have heard their coach bragging several times about this game and how much it has enhanced their program. Let me just say a few comments about what I would like to see in the up coming football year. Sure, I would love to see the Vols win every game , but there is one game that stands out for me more than any on our schedule. That game is the Gamecocks from South Carolina. Vols, we owe them a big favor, and that is thrashing them into reality on the field this year. We need to humiliate them at Neyland Stadium to the best of our ability. We need to send them back to the Chicken Coop where they belong and bring them down to earth. Let me urge all Vol fans to come to this game and make the noise level against Alabama (last year) sound like nothing as to compared to what the chickens are going to hear this year at Neyland. Everyone at South Carolina seems to think that Rattler is the second coming of Knute Rockney. Vols, we ask you to continue to have their quarterback on the ground as much as possible and bring him back to reality. We need an old fashion butt whoopin for this game..................GO BIG ORANGE ! NOW, IT IS OUR TURN TO DO SOME BRAGGING !!!!!

Sweet baby Jesus!🙄🙄

Ya know what? I have heard so many horror stories about how terrible our fans were treated there, and it makes me mad because while we have some crazies of our own, for the most part, we’re known to be a gracious fanbase to visiting fans. I went to the ‘19 Miss State game in Neyland and sat on the visitors side. There was 0 confrontation from either side. Now I realize that was a different situation and not a high stakes game, but still. Heck, one state fan sent me with cash to the beer line and told me to buy one for myself. I’m a firm believer in sportsmanship, but, after hearing these horror stories of the SC fans, to hell with them. I hope we show them the same “courtesy” they showed us come Sept 30th. Go Vols!
I think its going to be a massacre, You don't pi$$ off the Heup!...I just got a feeling he is going to absolutely pull out all the stops this time around...I want to beat them so badly the rest of the SEC goes, "Jesus don't make em mad" LOL

I see I've been lucky. I've made it to semi-retirement age without too much stress. My wife hates all sports, but I can usually recruit one familial person to go crazy with me in front of my TV each game. That, plus three Coronas tend to work.
Ahahaha yes. Us Vols have a way with getting people to cheer for/with us don’t we? I’m not quite sure what our voodoo is, but I think it’s Rocky Top. I once had half of a Buffalo Wild Wings in a military town cheering for us, got my life-long gump best friend pulling for us, and currently have my California born co-worker obsessed. She watched every game with me last year 😂

This is the ONE game this year I am going to.....and for all the reasons listed in the OP. Just gotta find reasonable tickets lol.

Also....PRAYING it's a night game
I’m praying it’s a night game too. Not only because of the atmosphere, but my plane lands around midnight the night before lol.

South Carolina took out a loan of sorts for a year‘s worth of fun and trolling. Unfortunately for them, the note comes due September 30. Payment in FULL, plus INTEREST

It would’ve been a huge margin win if the defense didn’t throw the game. That game was in no way the fans fault.

Never said the fans had anything to do with the outcome. Go read the VN posts from the week leading up to that game. The overwhelming consensus was that the Vols would win easily. Hopefully, many learned that being that confident for any conference road game (and at night) is foolish.
