BS. You may be allowed 'contact', but if you're trying to tell me you're allowed to pin your defender down as long as they don't move, then I need to start playing college basketball NOW. That is a foul.

My bad, your obviously the second coming of Ted Valentine. You should apply for a job. I'm done discussing it.

My post was more of a response to the troll. As for the rest of your post, this is a forum specifically for Tennessee Volunteer athletics discussion and that game was certainly a more even matchup than this, just saying.

The rest of my post consisted of my thoughts on both the previous meeting and the current meeting of these two teams.

As for the game so far, entertaining so far. I'm surprised USC has kept it close this long.

Its all good man, just in good fun. I just play around and throw barbs/jabs to people I think I can take them. :eek:k:

Just turned off the music I had been listening to since the start of the game and was sad to hear that Vitale was working it.

Big bucket to end the half by Downey. South Carolina might be able to make one more run but Kentucky wins big and coasts to a victory.

Magic Johnson doing the "Y" at the game, and a little John Wall dance. Sweet PR move.

Ben Rothleisberger in the house too.

Back to single digits after a 16 point lead. When they have only one scorer, you would think we could key in on him.

Seeing 20,000 + Kentucky fans chant "bull****" after Wall is called for having his foot out of bounds will be what I remember from this game. So much for the "smartest basketball fans."

Granted, it was an obvious play that didn't deserve the chant. But EVERY school has this happen, because I have heard it at countless schools, including UT. It just turns out we have 24,000 doing it, which amplifies it immensely. "Ref you suck" is much more suitable, if you have to chant something. I think its stupid to chant anything like that period.

And I'll be the first to say that UK has the most passionate fans, I'll never claim to have the smartest fans.

That probably goes to Yale or Harvard. :)

Harvard has awful basketball fans. Guess that's how your AD gets away with hiring Amaker.

Thing most people do not realize, is that Downey can score 20-25 over the course of the game, and we still win by 15 or 20. You just can't let him "take the game over", because he is basically their only real scoring option. Don't turn the ball over, and win the rebounding battle decisively like we should, and its a done deal.

I don't usually quote myself, but it was easier than typing it again.

Run it out baby.

At 5'8" and needing 47 shots per night, it'll be tough for him to find a spot to play.

I should have elaborated that I meant to include overseas leagues, but honestly, I think he has the game to play in the NBA. (If given the chance).

Perhaps not a starter, but in some kind of role.
