But the UAB QB did so much better against GA. I guess we can conclude that we are playing a team with a QB who is worse than the UAB QB.

If we played SC five times, there would be five different outcomes with 5 distinctly different stat lines.

It’s hard to disagree with that. And it’s all because of one thing… QB play. Which is hypo strength. Who did Pruitt trot out essentially every week throughout his entire three year time here? Pruitt seemed in capable of recognizing JG was not capable of elite QB play. Either that or I was unable to recognize that you needed elite QB played to be a great team.

Heupel certainly recognizes that you need elite could be played to be a great team. His fault has been an inability or unwillingness to recognize what many of us knew over a year ago… Milton is very similar to JG. He can’t consistently make incredibly, ordinary/easy throws to wide open receivers. I don’t get it. Heupel had two years to prepare for life after hooker. And even now… He trots Milton back out onto the field after potentially damaging his knee while up 31-0 against an FBS school. Why TF didn’t he send Nico out at that point? Why is he so dog determined to see Milton play quarterback here?

I remember making a joke back in the second game of his tenure, that if Milton died out on the field, he would call time out so they could wheel him into the medical tent and hit him with the defibrillator a couple of times, then wheel him back out onto the field in a wheelchair so that nobody else had to take a snap at qb. He was that set on him being the qb. And not just the starter… he wouldn’t let anybody else take a snap. Not even in junk time.

Rattler has played better than most QBs in the SEC so far. Sure they’ve lost but we’ve seen how mediocre QBs play very damn well against this Vols defense lol. We have no reason to be confident about this game. If we play like we did against Florida, Rattler will pick the defense apart
