Vanderbilt - Texas - Mississippi state - Alabama 13-1
LSU 15-0
Tennessee 12-0
Will Tennessee play less games besides post season than Texas - LSU have schedule to play this year..
Or does Tennessee have more schedule than those listed above on back end of the schedule regular season games?
Looks like TN 12 + 17 remaining; LSU 15 + 16; TX 14 + 17; Vandy 14 + 16; MSt 14 + 16; AL 14 + 16. Tenn has an out of conference w UConn, Texas out of conf with Maryland.

I know glv98 is sick of easy games, but I'm kinda glad our SEC slate begins with A&M. Granted, they may kick their intensity up a notch or two to try to get off on a better foot for this part of the schedule, but I'm hoping we'll win by at least 20. I don't want the first SEC game, against what is clearly a struggling team, to give us much trouble at all. For only mental reasons I want the team to start the conference slate with a blowout, then they won't have to read/hear negative nellies saying "I told you it wouldn't work in the SEC" right off the bat.

If you have to start out on the road this year A&M is one of the teams you would like to start with for sure. Arkansas may be even better for LSU. The good games are Oklahoma vs Texas and Miss St vs Kentucky.

He gets his wish soon the next two home games are Oklahoma and LSU.

As a counterpoint, I have quite enjoyed the "easy" games where the biggest concern is whether the LVs will double the opponent's point total.

Call me crazy (I guess that goes without saying) but I would be perfectly happy if the rest of the season is nothing but 30-40 pt blow outs....

I'm really glad they're starting with an SEC bottom feeder. Anyone would be. Good way to get the feet wet on the road, also get that awful trip over with early.

TAM is awful, but not in the universe of awful we've been playing. I'm way less grumpy about run of the mill D1 bad than about the steady diet of glorified high school teams.

I don't really think theres an "it" to not work in the SEC and therefore be blamed for any losses. CKC has been plenty willing to play the way the game dictates in the rare competitive games. If they lose it will likely be because no one could dial in a 3 that day, bc they miss cruicial free throws, bc of lack of size, or plain ole bc the other team has more talent.

I doubt anyone actually associated w the program has a single eff to give over any negative comments anyway.

Certainly will be worried about the A&M game until we win it. Road game and they havn't played very well, but expect we will get their best shot down there. Will Coach Caldwell be able to break the ugly curse of losing down there. I called it 90 to 65 probably will be a little closer than that hopefully it isn't.

Yes. And the early schedule should be conducive to seeing what the team has to work with in real time. Working stuff out, especially for new players. This is almost impossible to do if the non-conference schedule is loaded.

To me, the big question for year one of the CKC era is whether the LVs can make the Summitt into a fortress again, where no one wants to play them.

I am going to bet yes. Undefeated or one loss at home with three road losses-- so playing it "cautious" - 14-4.

Happy 2025, y'all.....

A lot of high scoring games today! Usually once SEC play starts you see a lot of scoring drop and games are more in the 70s. Almost every winning team with 80+ and Vandy hung 108 on an awful UGA team.

Coach Abe supposed to be a defensive coach, flat embarrassing.
