Back when I was a youngster I lived in the same neighborhood as Wally Schirra and Gus Grissom. In fact Wally Schirra lived directly behind my house but I never saw him. Life was good when I was young, I wouldn't trade it to grow up in the shithole we live in today for anything.

Both these astronauts are pilots and test pilots at that. Doug Hurley was a Marine Corps pilot he was the first Marine to fly the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet.

Bob Behnken is a Colonel in the Air Force and was one of the first F-22 test Pilots and has also flown F-15s & F-16s

The crew Dragon is capable of manual control which they tested on this flight. Both the Boeing Starliner and the NASA Orion capsules will be mostly autonomous as well.

Most everyone seems to think it's the safest way as of now.

Military vs. Private Co., I do expect the Coast Guard will be a part of all future recoveries with unwelcomed guests that showed up at this one.

Just got lost on YouTube watching Mars terraforming suggestions. I wish I could be alive to see that. Wont happen fully but I may be able to see the beginning of the colonization of Mars. Assume you dont have a family, you are the 15th group to go to Mars to live full time, would you do it?

I would.
