I just realized, SpaceX has put four operational crewed missions into orbit (five if you count Demo-2) while Boeing still hasn't even accomplished a single successful unmanned orbital test.

Way to waste $6.4 billion...

Don't forget the Inspiration4 mission and the Axiom 1 mission that splashdown Monday morning less than 24 hours before the Crew 4 launch.

At least once a year I read abiut someone falling off a cruise ship down here. Those move at like 25 to 30 mph.

I do not trust civilians to remain perched on their hotel going 7,000 miles an hour.

Two things that are guaranteed with people "falling" off cruise ships:

1) alcohol was involved

2) someone was being stupid and doing something they shouldn't be doing

Regardless, I'm going with @LouderVol on this. If SpaceX is involved I'd give it an even lower percentage... say 30%

Add 10,500 mph and you will be in the right ballpark 😉

FAA has delayed release of the SpaceX environmental decision on Boca Chica for the FOURTH time. Now no earlier than 29 May. Which men’s SpaceX continues to be grounded from flying their first orbital test of Starship.
It is beyond obvious now that the Biden Administration is actively punishing Elon Musk

place in 28k mile geostationary orbit, hook a generator up and run wiring back to Earth and give her a spin like The Price is Right
Not sure we have any rocket capable of carrying a crew capsule anywhere above LEO. Falcon Heavy probably could but is not human rated SLS/Orion could (assuming it ever flies) but $2 billion for a glorified Uber delivery would be insane

Payback for the Twitter purchase. I'll be shocked if they get to launch before July.

I am sorry, that just seems like a really bad idea.

1. The seemingly insane difficulty of catching a falling rocket with a hook.
2. Adding a person to the equation makes mistakes more likely.
2a. With said person having to be relatively close waiting for the rocket to come down adds a good bit of danger.
3. Wtf happens to the parachute after? Seems like rotor wash would be a concern.
4. I would assume the moment the hook really catches that helicopter is going to get jerked around a good bit.

I honestly don't think they'll ever really make that work on a large scale, but I do give turn mad props for attempting to come up with a way of reusing the booster.
