Redundant. Would rather see a continuation of the films as opposed to the origin story again.

I am totally down with this. I never liked Tobey Maguire and the 3rd movie was ****. They destroyed that franchise. I think this will be good.

Looks pretty good other than the "video game" sequence.

Looks like a good list of actors in there.

I liked Tobey Maguire's portrayal of Peter Parker. He had the "nerdy" look that I had always envisioned Parker to have. I also enjoyed the cast as well. However, after seeing The Social Network I think Garfield will do a good job in the reboot.

The problem is Tobey never stopped being a weak-looking nerd. Spiderman got buff and cool in the comics.

Bump for the movie release.

Reviews coming in have this movie as being pretty good. Just hoping all the CGI footage doesn't ruin and make it too fake looking.

and that all was an issue in itself considering who was the head of marvel at the time (of production, etc)

I saw it tonight, and it was Amazing.


A teaser for a sequel.
Norman Osborn before the end is shown briefly.
Curt Connors as the Lizard has a motive you can understand.
More than 3 wisecracks from the Wall crawler, characters change, Flash is humilated,terrific climax, enough action, and there is a reference by Captain Stacy to Godzilla.
Peter Parker is shown to be a scientific whiz, Gwen Stacy was done justice and she does not die.

The video game spoiled the movie some. I'm guessing the sequel will involve Green Goblin.

The thing is this will give them the opportunity to do Venom the right way this time. They totally botched it with

A) using Topher Grace (biggest wtf in movie history)

And B) killing him off at the end of the movie that introduced him.

Just horrible.

I would like to see Venom and then introduce Carnage later on. Hopefully this series lasts 5 or 6 movies to where we can see a lot of villains.

Add in he was not shown for that long, the flimsy motivation, and he was never called Venom.

The Amazing Spider Man
It did not try to be dark like Batman which is good because Spider Man is not a dark character.

Watched this yesterday.....

I think this version to be more stylized. The 3-D made it more dimentional. ( Did I just say that?) I like this version of Spiderman. More over the top that Mcguires version.

Very good. Entertaining. Loved Emma Stone. She was great. Denis Leary was good.
