I enjoyed it. Definitely better than the other Spider Man series IMO. I think the acting was considerabely better.

The thing is this will give them the opportunity to do Venom the right way this time. They totally botched it with

A) using Topher Grace (biggest wtf in movie history)

And B) killing him off at the end of the movie that introduced him.

Just horrible.

C) When venom is in a movie, I don't want him to keep retracting is face to see topher blablablablalbalabla.

I saw it yesterday in 3d. Kinda neat, takes a good first half of the movie to set up spiderman. Action doesn't start until about the last half. Was kinda neat seeing spiderman fight in close quarters with the Dr. Lizard.

The Lizard would of made a great killer croc for a future batman series. Garfield makes a fairly awkward kid, so his scenes with others at school was pretty believable. One of my gripes is he takes his damn mask off for everyone like 54 times in the movie. By the end I think the only one who doesn't know who spiderman is, is uncle ben, and that is just because he died.

Kinda has a whole harry potter feel to it with the parents and creepy osborn.... Oh well, still a good movie to go see.

Doesn't he take off the mask to help relate to the New Yorkers? Kinda to let them know that he's just a regular guy and means no harm?

Loved the whole thing. I was skeptical about this reboot but left really satisfied. Garfield was great. Emma Stone looked beautiful. Loved the plot.

Saw the movie last night. I like the first trilogy, but the reboot is much better.

The acting and chemistry between lead and supporting roles is superior. Garfield is outstanding. The directing is better. The plot is better. All in all, it's an epic start to a potentially epic trilogy. 4 stars

Saw it over the weekend and liked it. I didn't think I would like the kid playing SM, but I did, he was good. One question: in the comics, were Spidey's webs produced naturally or with the help of some separate device?

Saw it for the 2nd time on Sunday.

Was Aunt May thinking Peter was going to bring the Spider Man costume out of his bag?
Where do you go at night, who does this to you, secrets have a price is she thinking he'll say I'm Spider Man, or I fight crime?

I have no idea what you're talking about, but please be careful not to post spoilers without warning.

So if they are produced artificially, what powers did he even get? The ability to climb walls?

I liked that this movie was pretty true to the comics.

Except maybe "the show everyone my secret identity" part

Then again, a lot of what I read has said this takes root/base more in what's called the "ultimate spiderman" version, which is a more modernized telling/story of the character

Everything else he got from the spiderbite. He just had to make the web shooters himself...though part of the character is that he's supposed to be really intelligent...though usually doesn't he design the shooters and webbing all on his own?

*POSSIBLE SPOILER*

I actually liked that Gwen knew from the get-go. Also, it kinda makes him feel more "human" that some people knew who he was and that Spider-Man is just some ordinary teen.

Going to see the movie again tonight.

Liked it MUCH better than the last trilogy. Characters are much more rounded and not so pouty, and the story is much more believable and interesting for me. Plus, Emma Stone>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kirsten Dunst

Saw it last night with my two nephews. We all liked it. Personally I thought it felt more grounded than the original. I like that the showed him sewing the costume.

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***

I hate that they killed Capt Stacy already. Would have been nice to see his character develop a little more. Plus the way it was done in the comics was much better. Capt Stacy actually liked spider-man but didn't let on that he knew it was Peter until he was dying.

Even though they used some elements of the Ultimate version I hope hope hope they do not go that route for the Green Goblin. If you thought the power ranger version was bad look up the Hulk goblin from Ultimate Spider-Man.

IMAX 3D with my boys tonight. I thought it was well done and the 3D was awesome. The "swinging on the cranes" scene was eye-candy (as was Emma in those boots...). Better than the first run, but I still think the Avengers series and the newer Batman trilogy have it beat.

I'd love to see this at the Imax.
