Sports agent accuses Saban of cheating

Don't hold out hope on this one.

When a guy makes assertive, yet undefined, accusations but ends with "I'm sure the statute of limitations has run out," there's nothing to see.

Except he didnt end it that way. I have no doubt nothing comes from this but also no doubt everybody does it, some just more than others.

Saban hasn't been at Bama long enough for the SOL to run out on his first parking ticket. Don't get your hopes up.

Well, I dug through 2 pages......with the recent nuclear bomb dropped at PSU in the name of getting the student back in student athlete, the things that Bama is accused of will bring equal if not worse punishment as this is actually under the pervue of the NCAA.

Last paragraph of the article quoted in the OP:

"The statute of limitations has probably run as far as any criminality was involved to what I was relating to Saban, but I was involved in it..."

Yes. I was commenting on the ones that were in my post. Pretty cheap if purchased used.

Me and my wife bring home some decent money every year, wanted to get one of these in May, payments were too much, and we do pretty good. I'd understand if the kid had a 2002 Volvo or something. Thinking these are affordable for any college student who's family doesn't have money is crazy.

Dealers are more than happy to come up with crazy loan terms for any kid who looks like he'll be going pro. It happens in every major college town. Don't kid yourself into thinking that it doesn't happen at Tennessee.

It's probably against NCAA rules, but they'll never do anything about it because it would take forever to deal with every single case.

So in Knoxville they have a lot of Kia and hyundai on campus??

Only if the lot owner is a season ticket holder, I believe is how that works.

Buy the tickets through the company and you're fine.

Interesting, I never thought of that, but I could definitely see it happening. Pay nothing for 4 years then the loan comes due all at once with some interest tagged on. They still make their money and the players get new cars.

The payments aren't $0 per month, but I guarantee they can easily be paid with a Pell Grant with plenty to spare.

Want to get any SEC team fans fired up....Just mention "cheating" and "plug in school name here" and their voices go sky high and circling the wagons commences...funny...problem is not so much the staff....but ALL the fringe people around the program...without a doubt...stuff is happening constantly...

Is the extremely low loans available to the general public?

If not, its a benefit and a violation

If the general public has millions of dollars of insurance on their legs, I would say it is.

I'm not taking up for Bama at all, but this stuff happens everywhere.

All the dealer has to do is roll up the mileage until the price comes down to the same level as a Kia. All the NCAA cares about is the paperwork.
