Sports Card Collectors!

Well my son traded for his dream card. He got in a break a while back and got a Garrett Nussmeier out of 10 Bowman Auto. He sent it off to get graded and it came back a 10. He traded card for card off Facebook with a guy that’s in his Facebook group. He got this 8 out of 25 color match number match.View attachment 727448
I think he did pretty well in that trade!

Looks like a 3 at best. Just send it to me.
I've been trying to pick up Bowman Chrome and Topps Chrome Refractor/Refractor autos of current guys that are on track for the HOF. What do you think the TJ injury does for Gerrit Cole's chances? Seems like maybe that HOF door is closed for him. Of course, I would've said the same for Sale before last season.

Cole will need another 50 wins to even sniff the HOF, and even then that barely gets him over 200. The door wasn't really that open to begin with

I think it is hard to judge modern pitchers HOF chances due to the way their usage has changed. It is going to be hard using counting stats in the future for these guys so it may transition to more efficiency stats instead and they would be compared to more short peak HOFers like Koufax.

Cole has a decent shot at 3,000 K's

If he can pitch 5 more years and get 150 per year, he's there.

Schilling is the only 3K+ not in the HOF (Verlander and Scherzer are both still active, and practically locks for the HOF). Kershaw will get there this year and is likely a lock for the HOF

Schilling should have been elected already. He is being punished because of his politics I believe and Verlander and Scherzer are locks. I just wonder who the next guys will be after these older guys retire.

Latest pickup. Not only did I get a phenomenal deal, but I can’t find any issues. Surface is clean…centering checks out…corners are nice and sharp. I think could probably 5x this if it were to gem.

I didn't miss my chance to scoop one up several months ago either! Hopefully Strider can be "that guy" for the Braves.

I agree.
After Scherzer, Kershaw and Verlander, I think modern pitchers will be judged differently and benchmark stats will be adjusted, imo.
They have to be or we may never see another HOF pitcher.
