Sports Card Collectors!

I picked up something to add to my oddball/food collection, that I’ve been wanting for a while now.
I loved the Denny’s grand slams from upper deck, especially the first set in ‘91 because my friend had about half the set and I was so jealous.
I never got the chance to collect them because we never ate at Denny’s.
That all changed today as I found the whole set for $15!
I probably overpaid but I don’t care.😎

Apparently this person thought more highly of them than even me...

I’m collecting on the cheap but still picking up things I enjoy.
I’m saving for a couple of bigger cards at the end of the year...hopefully a ‘59 Gibson and an early Frank Robinson or Ernie Banks.

I am working on the 56 set right now. I was also planning on starting the 62 set soon. And I kind of just buy stuff I like when I can get a good deal. I try to never overpay for cards.

I need some help VN! I've never been much of a baseball fan.....except for our BaseVols.
My wife's first husband passed several years ago. He left "several" shoe boxes full of baseball cards.
What publication should I buy or how should I sort these to begin to figure out if there is anything valuable in the collection???

What years are the cards from?

I haven't looked at them closely but, judging by his age when he passed, 60's to 90's!!
Yeah some of the stuff from the 60s can definitely have some value. A lot of the late 80s and early 90s stuff was overproduced. Check Ebay sales on the big named cards and sell those individually and I would sell the commons in lots by set.
