Bammer's numbers are to be expected...and I think Auburn's high attendance had something to do with the last rolling of the Toomer's oaks. Not too shabby, Tennessee!

This picture from Saturday at Auburn is absolutely insane.

Arkansas set a school record....we're not the only ones excited about our new coach apparently.

I saw a short clip of the Bama crowd and it looked like only a fraction of the 78k that is reported. Did anyone else see that, or did I just see it incorrectly?

Kentucky 50831

I know they have a new staff, too, but I wonder what they're old record was. This is the most surprising attendance as far as I'm concerned.

I like the part in the OP where it said, "Team Claimed Attendance".

If the game was free how do they know? The lower bowl at UT holds somewhere between 55-60K and every seat wasn't occupied. There were a few scattered in the upper level and boxes.

People caring about the Spring game attendance is relatively new. After UT won the NC in '98, there were less than 20K at the '99 Orange & White game.

I'm trying to figure out how they tracked our spring game. It's not like there were ticket sales or anything to count the number of people that went into the stadium. I just walked right in. Unless they had someone counting every person that went in or something. The entire lower bowl was filled though, and that was impressive. I'm very proud of the people who were able to make it to the game.

New regimes usually draw bigger crowds at spring games because fans want a glimpse of what's to come.

Kentucky had nowhere near that number. Apparently, a lot of local businesses took up a bunch of tickets and they didn't get distributed. So tickets sold were nowhere near butts in the seats.

There are schools missing from that list. Florida and Kansas State are two I notice are missing.

Yeah, I've been lost on how they tracked the attendence. It's probably just a rough guestimate with an exact number to make it look legit.
