Jeez man..... No need for you guys to keep on beating on a man when he's down lol.

Poor Squirrel. I always liked the guy when he was here. Just a pity he could not actually stay upright after catching the ball though.

IIRC, Squirrel had a fairly young child didn't he-part of the reason he had to seek "greener" pastures at FSU?

I wish him luck in whatever comes next in life for him.

If he was looking for the most money, I don't blame him. Why not?

Everyone's not a winner. Like the 40-year-old dudes kicking a 22-year-old kid while he's maybe having the worst time of his life.

Sorry, I just have no tolerance for this. It's bad for the program and to the benefit of no one (except our rivals).
Best just to forget him. Can’t be too supportive of guys leaving, but not a good look to keep egging it on either.

He thought he was worth more than we thought he was. He got more money to go elsewhere. He had a young family, little hope of going pro and needed the money. I can’t fault the guy. I’m sure plenty will though.

Are we certain that Squirrel decided to leave UT on his own? Is it possible the coaching staff encouraged him to seek greener pastures? I know he was injured but he didn't exactly have a great season his last year here.

I’m going to declare myself an NFL free agent, “retire” the next day, and add “former NFL player” to my profile.
You likely recall that he played his heart out for us and played hurt when his team needed him.

Squirrel left the practice field hurt on Saturday escorted by 2 trainers, and yesterday the Bears placed him on their reserve/retired list — an official NFL designation. If a player retires while under contract, it allows the team holding the contract to retain the rights to the player if he returns to active status.

He was offered nil to come back from what I heard. It just wasn’t what he wanted.
