Stafford and Moreno

I calculated Manning's rating at 148.41 for his Sr year vs 161.18 for Leaf. Leaf is over-rewarded under that formula for having a better ypa.

i sure hope not. i would like to see stafford and gang back for one more year. i mean the O-Line has one year under their belt now, one year of knowledge and strength in the SEC, why not stay and make the BCS championship game next year. if not the CG, i would atleast like a BCS bid. but anyways, if they do leave im excited to see the future QB and the real caleb king show out!

well but you have to put yourself in his shoes; while you want him back in this "glory for UGA" and to be a legend at the school, the guy is seriously being considered as a top 5-10 draft pick and probably a top QB in that year's draft. That could be alot of money he'd have to turn down, and Leinart showed everyone that it won't necessarily still be there the next year.

you are CRAAAZY!!! stafford has THE best arm in college football today. can you give me atleast 3 reasons why he is overrated, just 3.

1) Dumb decisions.
2) Gets rattled after a couple of bad plays.
3) I would rather have some of the Big 12 qbs than him (Bradford, McCoy).
3b) Dumb decisions.

Who are all his best games against? I cant think of one single game that I thought he put the team on his shoulders and carried them to a win. Well not any games that were against good teams and had any meaning. If a NFL team waste a first rounder on him they will be sorry. This was suppose to be Georgia's year and you guys choked, Moreno is overrated also. Moreno is at best a good back, just like Stafford, his biggest games are against weaker teams and when they play good teams they struggle.

48-32 his TD-INT ratio. Hardly stellar.

ok ok. i understand where you are coming from, maybe you just hate the Dawgs or something. but.. from what i see on espn.com on stafford's stats is that he has done better each year. comp, comp %, td's and int's. and Moreno. eh not so well this year i give you that, i am really dissapointed in him this year. i dont think they "keyed" on him as much this year, i just think he wasnt running well. it seemed like to me everytime he got the ball it was 5 yards here, 2 yards there, ohh a 20 yarder!! only thing that seemed to work for him was the screen passes. oh well better luck next year to us!! haha

Are you crazy? Moreno touched the ball 254 times. Matthew Stafford is the only other person on the team to get more touches than Moreno.

I personally think Moreno is very, very talented, but he is a baby. Every time he takes a hard hit he runs to the sideline like a little baby. He seems like too much of a wuss. But...he's very good when he gets a standard tackle. Anything harder than what you would normally see and he is straight to the sideline.

Good Lord Almighty I am so sick of hearing about freakin Caleb King!! Kid hasn't been the same since he broke his leg in hs. The times he played this year he showed nothing. Just bc he racked up a ton of yards in the spring game against yalls horrible defense doesn't mean he's God's gift to football. I can't stand UGA fans my God if I ask "Wonder if Knowshon goes this year?" yall say "Oh man it doesn't even matter I hope he goes Caleb King is gonna win the heisman next year!"

Face it, you guys aren't even the best team in the state anymore. Oh and Georgia State's about to start playing football, better watch out.

I didn't quote you. I didn't actually think I would have to do this but I was just generalizing UGA fans. I live in GA and have to deal with mut fans 24/7, and I HAVE, without a doubt, 100%, heard UGA fans tell me that. Not you per-say, but some fans. Something along the lines of "Well I hope Knowshon goes, Caleb King is wayyyy better anyways." when they have no proof that King will be any better than Moreno was.

i totally agree with you that some UGA fans say that and im not one of them, im not one to run my mouth about how good we are, cause ya know if i did we'd have another season like this one again. but there are some stupid uga fans and i cant stand them. one guy at my work says he used to like UGA untill one guy at work ran his mouth so much about the dawgs that now he absolutely despises them. but he also says no offense to me cause i dont claim we're the best team or any of that crap. i call it how i see it. I would like to see knowshon and stafford stay one more year just to see them in a UGA uniform again!!

I classify UGA fans and Bama fans in the same category most of the time. Most UGA fans are bandwagon fans. I live in GA and when they are winning they flags are flying the you see nothing but UGA tags on cars. Well, after losing to Alabama and UF I haven't seen any flags flying. GT beat them and there are even less tags on the cars. Alabama fans are the same way.

Saying this, there are some realistic UGA fans out there. My friend is a huge UGA fan and he knows that if Stafford and Moreno leave that they will probably lose 3-4 games next year. I say more like 4-5.

The problem with Caleb King is that he isn't the average SEC back. The only plays he can run are the quick pitch or sweep. He can't run a dive play or anything besides an off tackle run. Richard Samuel should be playing D for them. He makes some dumb decisions.

i agree, some uga and bama fans are bandwagon fans. and also if them two do leave. i hate to say it but we might lose 4 games, but I DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT want to be #1 ever again till we play in the NCG. its a jinx and a lot of pressure. i would rather start at the bottom let everyone lose and slowly make out way to the top, example Bama..

Joe Cox and Logan Grey will battle it out for the starting position next year if Stafford leaves. You better hope that Grey wins because he is the one that will give you the best chance at winning, but Richt likes to play his SR's over more talented players. EX: Joe Tereshinsky over Stafford. If Joe Cox is your starter next year look to lose at least 4-5 games...at least.

oh i def agree with you. logan looks like an athlete returning punts. i just have no idea about his arm, or composure in the pocket. but from what i see of joe cox, i would rather have me out there playing. hahaa

I don't think Cox is quite as weak as you want him to be. He's no Heisman candidate, but back when he was a Freshmen, Cox looked very serviceable. I think he even started a game in front of Stafford.

He looked better than Stafford for a little bit there. He was crucial to a couple of their early 2006 wins when UGA was really struggling.

. . . and it will be his 5th year in the program running the same offense . . . and he's going to have a couple of pretty good RBs behind him whether Moreno declares for the Draft or not.

I've actually heard a couple of UGA fans say he's a fiery leader that the players all respect. I don't know if that's true, though. I don't see UGA being all that great next year even if Stafford hangs around.
