Stafford and Moreno

you are CRAAAZY!!! stafford has THE best arm in college football today. can you give me atleast 3 reasons why he is overrated, just 3.

1. His strong arm doesn't make up for everything else. He stares down receivers and throws some costly interceptions.

2. If you average out his numbers against Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, and Vanderbilt since 2007, Stafford's numbers don't reflect a quarterback ready for NFL stardom. 17 TD's and 14 Int.
Which means, in those 10 games he averaged throwing 1.7 TD's and 1.4 Ints.

3. He is surrounded by better players than any other quarterback in recent history. Don't believe me? Compare his backfield and receivers to David Greene's.
Moreno, King, and Samuel easily trump Musa Smith, Tyson Browning, and Danny Ware. The Receiver position is no camparison either. Is their anyone that would argue that Massaquoi and Green aren't better than T. Edwards and Reggie Brown, seriously?

Please argue.. im willing to be swayed.

I'll argue . . . David Greene had Terrenece Edwards, Reggie Brown and Fred Gibson at WR and Leonard Pope at TE. All of them played in the NFL.

Im not arguing whether they played in the NFL. Notice that i stayed away from the TE position. Ben Watson and Leonard Pope were dominating. Tripp Chandler is a waste of a scholly.

Please don't compare A.J. Greene to any of David Greene's guys, there just isn't an argument. Massaquoi is a better physical version of Reggie Brown, and Fred Gibson was a disgrace to his former self after his freshman year.

Reggie Brown is twice the WR Massaquoi is.

Agreed.

But back to what I was saying, living in GA and dealing with the UGA bandwagon fans day after day has made me absolutely despise anything to do with the bulldogs. Hell I don't even like the color red anymore. The beginning of this season was the worst too, with all the UNDESERVED preseason hype just because they killed HA-FREAKING-WAII. But I guess those black jerseys aren't a very good substitute for actual coaching and talent, huh?

I've actually heard a couple of UGA fans say he's a fiery leader that the players all respect. I don't know if that's true, though. I don't see UGA being all that great next year even if Stafford hangs around.

Stafford spoons him.

I disagree. Granted, he was a flop his soph and jr. seasons. I still think Massaquoi is the better player.

Reggie Brown career stats: 1972 total yds 131 receptions for 1862 yds and 11 TD's

Massaquoi Careeer stats: 2383 total yds, 157 receptions for 2272 yds and 16 TD's

Players on Brown's team that split his touches: Fred Gibson(4 years), Terrence Edwards(2 years), Ben Watson, Damien Gary, and Leonard Pope.

Players on Massaquoi's team that split his touches: Leonard Pope, Martrez Milner, Bryan McClendon(not a world beater and a year with him), Sean Bailey(not a world beater and two seasons with him), and AJ Green who is just a freshman. He's had no one on the team that way any type of threat except him at WR until this year. Of course he is going to have better stats. Brown had to compete with better WR's and athletes than Massquoi has.

I actually like Caleb King, I think he provides a nice spark but I am not sure he can carry it 25 times a game though. His main weakness seems to be running between the tackles. I know one thing you guys have the best up and coming WR in the SEC in A.J. Green. Man that guy is awesome, he will def make any QB you put in there look better than he probably is. If I were a UGA fan he is who I would be buzzing about, he has Randy Moss type talent. I really think Green is better than Julio Jones and I think Jones is a beast too. Maybe Coach Kiffin can talk them both into transferring to UT.

You can't really compare Jones and Green. They have different attributes that make the great in their own style. Jones is a physicall WR and Green a quick, speedy one. They will both be tops of the SEC for a while.

And by a while you mean until they're eligible for the draft

I calculated Manning's rating at 148.41 for his Sr year vs 161.18 for Leaf. Leaf is over-rewarded under that formula for having a better ypa.

but didn't you hear? Manning's reached his potential and Leaf is just scratching his. Leaf will be the better pro.......... /end sarcasm

Why would anyone come on a Vols board and try to reason that Leaf was better.

Stafford will have a better pro career than David Greene and a worse one than Peyton. He's no messiah...

I classify UGA fans and Bama fans in the same category most of the time. Most UGA fans are bandwagon fans. I live in GA and when they are winning they flags are flying the you see nothing but UGA tags on cars. Well, after losing to Alabama and UF I haven't seen any flags flying. GT beat them and there are even less tags on the cars. Alabama fans are the same way.

Thank you for summing that up. That is exactly how UGA fans are. That is why I consider them some of the most obnoxious annoying fans in the SEC. Not all of you guys, but most are really bad. I have lots of family from Georgia and when things are going good or they are suppose to have a good season like this year, they will make you sick, constantly bragging and talking about how great they are. Most of them were at my house over Thanksgiving and it was really sweet when they lost to GT. During the first half every time they would make 2 yards they would yell, hoop and holler. If Moreno would run 5 yards I would hear, yep better than Herschel. Good Lord, that was annoying. Well, when the game was over, they seemed to avoid the subject. Now they won't even talk about college football period.

BTW, I heard Danny Ware was going to be the next Herschel Walker, then Moreno, Caleb King, and now the Washaun Ealey, the kid from Emmanuel County that is coming in next year. Yes, the Ealey kid has broke the all time Georgia state TD record in a single season. I think he did it last year and this year. He might even have the yardage record. He also plays for a 1-A school which I think Herschel did as well. But, there is only one Herschel IMO, and I will have to see it to beleive it.

I don't live in Georgia and I hear this from UGA fans

Spot on. Every single year, whoever UGA has committed at RB is "going to be the next Herschel." Can't stand that! Ugh, UGA fans...
