What's with the Dane Cook hate? It's not the only forum I've heard this on. The guy definitely has like ADHD but I've never had a problem with his personality. Did he sacrifice a baby on stage or something and I didn't hear about it?

For me, with Dane Cook, a lot had to do with the hype around him. I had heard so much about him before I saw him for this first time that I thought he was going to be just something hilarious. I watched his special where he was on a stage that had crowd all around him, and it just didn't do anything for me. Then he REALLY started blowing up all over the place. I just didn't get why he was so famous. He makes a few dick jokes and walks funny around the stage, and I'm supposed to think he's the next Mitch Hedberg?
As I've said before, he nails a few jokes here and there, but for the most part I'm just left thinking about the kids in high school that are probably the only ones laughing.

I think the problem with Dane Cook is that he wears you down. His act was funny when I first saw it. Hell, I saw a Carlos Mencia special way before his Mind of Mencia show started, and I thought he was funny as hell for about 25 minutes. Very few comedians have the talent to keep me coming back.

Bill Burr, Adam Carolla, Jim Gaffigan, and Anthony Jeselnick (spelling?) are my favorites at this point in time.

I really like Burr and Gaffigan these days. Depends on my mood as to whether or not I like Seinfeld.

I watched a Jeselnik standup special on Comedy Central the other night. That was some very offensive stuff, but he had me rolling a few times.

He's just offensive to be offensive. He's not funny. He needs to take some George Carlin lessons. He was both offensive and funny.
